After S1 I really hoped they weren't going to mess it up with S2. Last night didn't blow me away but perhaps expectations were too high, I don't know. Just as S1 was fairly slow paced - my wife's main criticism of it - so last night's was. For now at least we just can't see where its going, so maybe that feels like a bit of a negative.

I've just seen another trailer on Sky News which shows Maeve in Chinese dress with a Samurai sword!!! Can't wait to see this.

Ford is still around in AI form as we saw from his child host version, I expect we might still see an adult host Ford too. He must have known about Charlotte's secret area and why were they taking DNA samples of the guests, could this be something to do with cloning? I see the island with all 6 parks on it may be in Chinese waters, that might play a bigger part later.

What was the relevance (If any) of the lingering shot of the drowned host at the end with the line “he killed them all”?

Enjoyed last night - first in a new season is always difficult to judge. Hope it carries on as well as it looks like it could.

If series 1 is anything to go by, not what we think. Or the Delos guy would just say, "excellent, that's all over then. Let's go home". Are they all the hosts, or are they duplicates put there to make them think they have all been killed so they can instead escape out into the real world and take it over.

Hosts are amongst us now.

I thought the same, but wasn't 100% certain.

Wonder what Bernard meant when he said he killed them and how long he can hide he is one of them. It raised so many questions like I expected it to. Looking forward to the season ahead.

So, it was supposed to be a couple of weeks after the killings started when they come in and find Bernard on the beach, IIRC? Does nobody think "hang on a second, shouldn't he be dead" and question that he might not be human?

I suspect the mystery militia know Bernard is a host but need him to work what the hell happened? Also where did the head of security appear from?

My theory, 3 Bernards. Arnold Bernard (flashbacks with Delores), host Bernard (post massacre with Charlotte), human clone Arnold/Bernard at the end with all memories and confusion.

Ps. I need to see it again but those red cards the security woman had that had Bernard tagged as "high". Was that high priority rescue, or high priority kill?

they know he is a host - they have got the red Host top-trump cards. the female security woman at the beginning noticed but they didnt mention it throughout the episode.

there is a second timeline again but piecing the part where Bernard woke up with the wine glass next to him and the security personnel on the beach to when he had the flashback to finding all of the hosts floating isnt easy.

At this point I am not sure that the Delos security head and associated team know that Bernard is a host (in the "beach landing" timeline). The red cards (from what I could see on screen) flag him as a high value individual rather than a host. They no doubt will be seeking to identify and secure as many Delos board members and VIP guests as they can and so will be prioritising them.

I’d read that the cards meant high danger but your version makes more sense.

I expect they just bought Taiwan. After the mainland took back their rebel province it was probably nice and flat ready for redevelopment.

The hosts floating part wasn't a flashback but a flash forward? You have the beach landing, then Bernard's flashback to when he was in the barn with Tessa Thompsons character, then later it flashes forward to the present again when he's with the rescue team and they find the floating bodies.

No-one really knows what happened in the episode, therefore scared to comment in case they look stupid.......
Not just me then. I enjoyed it but went crossed eyed. No idea what is going on. Also confused as to how the rest of S2 and if there is a S3 will pan out. If its all gone horribly tits up, how do they come back from that.

Agreed, also in the adverts for this season it showed Dolores in the real world? What I don't get is that this place is a closed dome right? So just raid it and clear them all out and re-build? Also the well armed chaps in the main building seem totally useless and that detracts from it a bit. They should be able to take out the few hosts in there.

im guessing youve never seen film? Lol.

Spoiler alert. They don't it ends in a nightmareish realisation that he has survived a complete annihilation of the parks and hosts.

Boy, have we got a vacation for you!
