Just downloaded this as a freeby from SKY, so will report back when seen.
I wasn't aware of this until now, but Sky has launched a VIP service for users (customer loyalty thing), if you add sky store to your smartphone they will give you a gift of a free DVD in the post and free download to 4 devices and your SKY box.
Excellent. Didn't know about this. Just used it to get Baby Driver. Cheers.I wasn't aware of this until now, but Sky has launched a VIP service for users (customer loyalty thing), if you add sky store to your smartphone they will give you a gift of a free DVD in the post and free download to 4 devices and your SKY box.
HD Digital £9.99
HD Digital + DVD £13.99
HD Digital + Blu-ray £16.99
will get you a DVD copy, a copy on your Sky box permanently and the ability to watch digitally on tablets, mobiles and the Sky Store website. The Free movie is a £13.99 credit. Do NOT order anything through the Sky Store section on your Sky box as you WILL be charged.
Disney recently removed HD and DVD copies from the Sky Store website so be aware of this, just in case. Only SD digital copies are available, no DVD's or HD copy on the Sky box.

The Handmaiden
I had a vague recollection that someone had said this was good, either in this thread
Me I think, haven’t seen it mentioned here since which is odd as it reviewed incredibly well and was a wittertainment favourite. Raw is similarly excellent and off the beaten track, for both my wife wondered what the hell I was watching!I had a vague recollection that someone had said this was good, either in this thread

Caught about half an hour of What we do in the shadows last night & definitely want to see the rest. Not too many vampire mockumentarys out there.
Got around to watching this in full. Loved it. Deacon's erotic dance had us in stitches.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CgTkrBAHBo

I've read this three times, still got very little idea what you are on about.
BFI? Morley? Dudley? Flat season?
Let me help. I'll use pictures to clarifyBFI? Morley? Dudley? Flat season?
The Boys - a film of its time
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rt-I341ys0c
BFI = British Film Institute
Robert Morley - A great character actor, larger than life who would not take a job when he could go horse racing instead
Dudley Sutton - an actor who has worked man and boy in film and distinctive as Lovejoy's antique expert
I hope that's cleared things up.

I just cannot comprehend why anyone takes a nerdy looking actor with rosebud lips, who looks like he had ten pints last night and tries to make him into a tough guy stud. Can't get past the ridiculousness of that before it even starts. Add to that the emotionless female lead with big stupid caterpillar eyebrows and it's already on a slide.
So we move into the liquidiser blending of the Matrix, the Mummy, Avatar, Independence Day and a horrendous Mish mash of other films and after that massive disappointment, you're still left with the two emotionally sterile and unconvincing lead characters.
What happened to the real tough guys and real actors?

As good as it gets
Brilliant (Oscar winning) performances by Jack Nicholson, Helen Hunt and the dog. And an entertaining film to boot. Never seen it before (surprisingly).
One of my favourite films, great performances all round and an interesting story.Brilliant (Oscar winning) performances by Jack Nicholson, Helen Hunt and the dog. And an entertaining film to boot. Never seen it before (surprisingly).
Another favourite of mine, Arlington Road. An ending you'll not see coming (one tiny clue is in the film) which shall blow you away. Not widely seen but a def 9/10.
I'm starting to get a bit overwhelmed by all the Marvel Universe films - it's a struggle to keep up with them all, and of course you need to have seen them all to get all the back-references.
Of the Thor films, I've only seen the first one. I've seen the two Avengers films though, and all the Iron Man films. And the first Guardians.
I probably need to catch up.

There’s a few - 14 or 15 I think: 3x Iron Man, 3x Thor, 2x Avengers, Spiderman, Hulk, Antman, 2x Captain America, 2x Guardians of the Galaxy. I think that’s about it (so far!).Of the Thor films, I've only seen the first one. I've seen the two Avengers films though, and all the Iron Man films. And the first Guardians.

Oh yes, I saw the two Captain America films too, and the Hulk film. The first Captain America was a little "meh" although I liked the WW2 aesthetic. I thought Winter Soldier was the better of the two actually.

You need to join the VIP service and claim your gift through the 'MySky' app on your smartphone or tablet. Then when you get your email go to the Sky Store website and enter your code once you've signed in. You can then use this ONLY against Movies on this list and be aware, only Items specifically marked 'Buy and Keep' like this:
is this still going?I just joined VIP and got platinum (whatever that is) and the are some offers shown but none is a free sky store credit
