Well worth a watch. Tense!
Thanks for this - quite enjoyed it!Well worth a watch. Tense!
Yes - difficult to say "enjoyed".
Occasionally I think the JGL can be a bit up himself, but he does put his all into any project and this is no exception.
JPod. I really enjoyed the Douglas Coupland novel and was aware there was a Canadian TV series based on it but hadn’t seen it so was really happy to stumble on it on Amazon. The humour is very dry.
Word of warning - due to the writer’s strike when it was being made they never filmed the last episode.

In contrast, I really think I will re-watch the entirety of Mr Robot - and just the thought has my mouth watering in comparison.
Cheers for mentioning Mr Robot, started watching after your post and just finished the last episode. Absolutely loved it! It's a surprising one - even though I knew the "plot" it is masterful how the reveals come.
Just done S1 again - there was a great moment when - a bit like a Star Trek Character - a previously unknown character pops up and has to go on live TV to defend E Corps. That was just as deliciously shocking on re-run!!! I'm sure you know the bit I mean!

I just loved that there were so many wtf moments all the way to the end, so many great characters in it, and a very good and satisfying conclusion. Right up there as one of the best series I've watched.

Yes I also enjoyed s2 of Hanna more than the 1st, which was ok but like you said just retold the film.
Watching Homecoming now, took me till about ep3 before I'd decided to stick with it. I read a few articles about the director's approach to it because I was curious about the 70's visual and musical influences, which i found really interesting.
Loving the little trivial things that reinforce what you need to know about the plot, like Colin's shoelace coming undone as he sees things begin to unravel.
Really enjoying it so far.

I'm the other way around with S2 of Hanna, S1 was fine but with S2 I found myself shouting at the telly a couple of episodes in because nothing was happening, it was so tedious. Bailed halfway through episode 4, not that I'd been watching, it was just on in the background by then. Does something actually happen later on? like maybe she decorates an apartment or something? So I might persevere?

Has anyone found anything on prime that's a really interesting family theme? Something well written with a story that we can buy into. Only criteria really other than my daughter being 12.
My 10 nearly 11 year old daughter loved Sherlock which is on Prime. Just enough jeopardy and scariness.Smallville. My daughter and I are on two episodes a night (now up to s05e04!). Very watchable as an adult as well <cough> Erica Durance as Lois Lane </cough>. Great theme tune, you just need to put to one side that all the 16 year old high schoolers are played by 30 year old actors.
