Yes. Then they canned it and the fans rallied round and convinced amazon to buy it.

I started watching it on Netflix, need to start it again but I need to finish some of the stuff I’ve started. This and the Netflix thread don’t help.

We've been on the look out for a comedy to watch. 22 minutes, plenty of them. You know the drill.

We tried Black-ish, and it didn't really gel. It seemed to be trying a bit too hard.

We've watched a few episodes of Life in Pieces now, and it seems to hit the spot when you just want 20 mins of escapism. There are a lot of parallels with Modern Family. However, I quite like the format of 4 sort stories per episode.

We've also got Black Mirror, Killing Eve and The Boys on the go, so we do have an attention span too...

May have been noted already, but I just realised Futurama is on Prime now.... all seasons, but not the feature length "movies" or whatever they were.

For comedy, try "The Good Place" and "Schitt's Creek", if you haven't already. Both on Netflix.

I was obsessed with Futurama a few years ago. The only computer game I ever played in recent years was a Futurama one.

I may have to give them another watch smile

Life in Pieces gets funnier as the kids get older.
Corner Gas is very steady but funny.
I enjoyed Gameface on Channel 4 too.

Not even in the "syndicated" version where they split them up into 4 individual episodes?

I wonder how historically accurate its portrayal of the evacuation was? It's not at all what I expected but knowing Christopher Nolan, it probably was well researched.
If it was, pretty much bugger all of that research made it to the screen.

Dunkirk is now on Prime.

Good film. Not a brilli.ant film, but well worth two of my hours.
Tried it and got bored even faster than when I watched it at the cinema.
The sense of scale is just not there for me. frown
I wasn't impressed.
Late to the party, but a pretty poor film.

Loads of hype. I thought it was poor.

Easily top 3 cartoons. Never lost it's edge and creativity, unlike the Simpsons.

I couldn't get excited with futurama. Might watch it if its on and nothing else but was never must see, i think i just got bored after a while.
Bob's burgers has overtaken a lot of animation for me recently, and Rick and Morty is well on its way too. Archer used to be but struggled in the last few seasons.

Bloody brilliant
For some reason, I'd previously discounted this after only one episode so, I gave it another go over the weekend based on the the recommendations on here. I'm glad that I did as I'm really enjoying it so far (season 1 done, about half way through season 2).

I was expecting something that felt far lower in budget than this, the effects are really rather good. The sense of scale they manage to achieve is also impressive - I have definitely become immersed in the universe and I'm looking forward to continuing the story.

Sorry missed your reply. I agree. These threads are great but it does mean I have suggested series to hubby that I wouldn't have known about otherwise biggrin

It is good to see fans can have an influence these days. I think that is only fair, especially as we pay a lot of money for these channels every year!

Started New Amsterdam yesterday, unsurprisingly got a bit of a House vibe about it but enjoying it so far,

What happened at Amazon Prime? They seem to be getting things right but it must have been a change made some time a go and the shows are just coming out now, production values are so much higher than the early stuff I watched on Prime (Man in the High Castle etc).
I don't think New Amsterdam is made by Amazon, but agreed that the quality on Prime has improved as of late. I think the quality of Amazon-produced content is on a par with some of the best Netflix stuff and possibly more consistent in quality, too.

I'm on season 2 of The Americans - again not an Amazon show, but a good one.

It’s definitely been mentioned here already, but Patriot is amazing. Just smashed it all in 2 days. Great show.

I feel like a Jehovah’s Witness trying to force Patriot on everyone I know

It’s utterly brilliant. Some of the best casting and acting I’ve ever seen

I describe it as a mixture of Better call Saul, Killing Eve, and Fargo

Totally agree on Patriot. Just not sure why all the blurry concussionvision scenes needed to be in 4K.
