idn’t really warm to it. It’s different, well filmed/CGIed but lacking something. No lacking a fair amount.

If you were always waiting for a Ripper Street/Lord of The Rings Crossover show, reusing racist storylines, with pointless rooftop chases, that runs at a slow pace, this might be the one for you.
I'm enjoying it, but the pacing is poor. Lots of dangling plot threads.

I've just finished S1 of the Patriot and absolutely loved it , awesome series one of the best on Amazon imo
yay another fan :-)

Seems to be a marmite series, I recommend it to every man and his dog, people tend to say either meh or utterly love it.

I think its one of the best things I've watched

I think its subjective due to the very dark and quirky comedy

No-one I recommended it to have enjoyed it either.

I finally got round to finishing Good Omens last night.

I thought it was a credible attempt at dramatising the book. Various things were left out / lost in translation / simplified, but overall I think it was done pretty well.

Monster. With Charlize Theron and Christina Ricci.

Quite an old film now, but I enjoyed it a lot.

I was about to ask if anyone was watching this, obviously so!. Can I ask what David Tennant is like in it, to me he has a tendency to over act, which I find off putting, any observations?

There really does seem to be some cracking stuff on Prime at the mo. Watched The Boys , and absolutely loved it,and have 3 episodes left to watch of Carnival Row. Its great as well, but some right on pc phrases used in the dialogue make it a 9 out of 10 instaead of the full 10 for me. It's a fantasy , being reminded of modern causes/phraseology does not help the escapist nature of such series.
I dive in and out of Preacher, love it when I'm in the mood, totally off the wall, all good stuff.

I see the full series of Downton Abbey is on prime, I might deviate from my normal viewing tastes and give it a go. I have 100's of hours of viewing in my watchlist , enough to keep me in my viewing habit up to Christmas and beyond.
I gave up on broadcast TV around 4 years ago, do not miss it at all, To me, Prime really is cracking vfm , long may it continue.

I was obsessed with Futurama a few years ago. The only computer game I ever played in recent years was a Futurama one.

I may have to give them another watch smile
Easily top 3 cartoons. Never lost it's edge and creativity, unlike the Simpsons.
South Park is one of my favourites.

Yes, love Rick and Morty, never been a huge fan of Family Guy though. Although I must admit I've never tried watching a large amount of it, maybe it's worth giving it a go!

Family Guy has its moments (as my dad would say) but I think some of the humour is rather cruel and nasty. The transphobia over Quagmire's dad who transitioned to female was particularly unpleasant and the show really went down in my estimation because of it.

Having said that, their Star Wars trilogy specials were excellent.

I've never watched Rick and Morty, although I've heard of it. Maybe I should give it a go, if it is included on one of my packages (I have Sky and Amazon Prime).

Just spotted that one of my all time favourite films is on Prime now.

If.... (1968) directed by Lindsay Anderson and starring a young Malcolm McDowell. beer

Watched this due to your recommendation.
Really enjoyed it, and the ending wasnt what I would have expected for a film of that era.
I had no idea If.... was on there. My dad wrote it... smile

I didnt think his acting was too OTT, just about right IMHO. Michael Sheen was brilliant too, definitely worth a go

Indeed. The character of Crowley is a little flamboyant anyway, so it suited him well.

I think everyone was pretty well cast actually.

I think naming it Patriot was a bit of an error, people have a preconception if what it might be about. I know I did, but saw a clip where John said “if you keep following me I’m going to stab you in the thigh” - that appealed to my sense of humour and I’m so glad I watched it, possibly my favourite series of all time

Carnival Row. A sort of 19th century version of Bright. Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne, so opposite ends of the acting ability spectrum smile, but OMG the accents!

Oddly not on the front page when I looked, although it was only out today. I'm 1 episode in and it doesn't look too bad.
Did the whole season over a couple of days and quite enjoyed it. Not normally my sort of thing at all but, had enough redeeming features and good performances to hold my interest right to the end. Season 2 has been reasonably well set up - I'll certainly be watching when it arrives.
I loved it!

But the metaphors for today's issues with immigration and racism were rather heavy handed and look like they'll become even more so in the next series.

I'll be watching the next series, though!
