I was surprised to learn Lou D-P isn't actually descended from native Americans ....
Neither is Kelsey Asbille who plays Monica Dutton (Kayce's wife) in Yellowstone (well, she claims to be part Cherokee, but they deny it).

Yes, I'd read that too. Constantly surprises me that people can make such claims these days when the truth is so easy to determine. I don't believe Lou DP has ever claimed he has that heritage though.

added to my mental watch list

The Shield
Southland
Hunters - I gave up after 3 episodes IIRC as missus didn't like it
Really enjoying Southland, near end of S1 and lots to do.
Great how it’s filmed in an edgy way, and decent stories and character building too.
Hope it stays as good as this.
For a 10 year old plus show, don’t know how I missed it till now.

Good but grim, I also felt it should have been a few episodes shorter, still thoroughly enjoyed it though. Season two thus far is better. Some great lines, as we have learnt to expect from Taylor Sheridan productions!!

The Consultant

Well i'm enjoying it, really like things like this, can't really define what it is, horror-comedy, satire? Quite intelligent as well in the writing and story, Christopher Waltz is worth watching it alone, even though he only ever plays one character, menacing darkness,he does it with aplomb.

Great binge stuff, that I can't really think fits any other shows..

Just finished it, really makes you think, and not many answers to questions you will have. Definitely won't appeal to people that like Mrs Brown but the comedy us there just hard to spot.

Agree with most of this

The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent

On Prime, free to watch.

I really enjoyed it, like really really good.
I know Cage isn't an amazing actor but he plays himself in a great part.
Pablo Pascal is bloody awesome in it, flawless.

Maybe in the minority here, but great film.

Not just you, I really enjoyed it. Cage was able to take the mickey out of himself and like you say Pascal playing the fawning fan was just brilliant.

Thirded. I absolutely loved the mentalness of that film and Cage and Pascal were both superb as you’ve stated.

Might have to watch it again tonight now it’s been mentioned smile

Longmire is a gem - well worth sticking with.
Thank you for the recommendation, we finished it last night.

Brilliant and it finished with some nice closure, except..... what happened to Nighthorse?

I might do Longmire again, really enjoyed it personally. Currently redoing Justified, so Longmire may be next.

I think the writers did him dirty. He skirted around the bad guys in order to provide income for his schemes but his schemes were always intended to help the natives, so his motives seemed good. He deserved better.

He did indeed. More than all the other characters, closure for him should have been given, good or bad.
