Ventilation.I get why it won, the innovation and the fact it's a lot on a small plot etc... but I'd rather have lived in almost all the others. All that wood panneling must have cost a few quid and all and I'm pretty sure it won't age well.

I must admit I don't - I just thought it was rather silly, and as said above, the detailing needs to be spot on to pull it off. If pressed, I'd go for the garden house. There was lots of very subtle, beautifully-executed detailing there (much of which was transferable to other projects), but without motors and gimmicks.
I saw a bit of it last night, stopped at the tin house. None are my choice at all, some are interesting houses but I can't see they'd make great homes. The garden house was very, very clever but again I can't see I'd want to live there.
I'm glad I didn't see that one that won, it looks a bit grim from the outside!

Sccrreeeeennnnnhgghhhhhhjhcccccchhhhh.
The first house owned by the two medics is just a couple of miles down the road from us, will have to have a nosey on the way past next time, although I don't think there's much visible from the road. I did like that one, not so much the rest from this week, and definitely not those orange sheds.

It was the Outhouse for me.
I could spend many a happy day in that building in that location.
I agree - as a house for living in, I think you're right out of the finalists (I still have a soft spot for the sea fort that didn't get through, though), I thought garden house was just that bit cleverer IYSWIM.I could spend many a happy day in that building in that location.
