Admit it, who recognised the porn stars before they were named.
Not me..... Watched the latest ep online yesterday, called "Fight Night"
I'm sure i'm missing a lot of nuances in the content, who's playing who, etc.
Oh, well.... I won't comment more until it airs in the UK, whenever that is?
While I absolutely love the program, I'm going to stick my neck out and say that I don't think the writing is as good as previous.
The characters are becoming more black and white, and almost a caricature, rather than the complex infinite shades of grey of before and the pop culture references sometimes jar, being out of place and seem forced trying to be too cool for school.
It's still bloody good, but it's lost a bit of the edge for me/us.

I was thinking the same thing, and was going to post similar. It seems to be every character, every line. And then the 'famous' sportstars felt shoehorned in. It's a shame and it feels akin to that political american serial from a few years back...THe Newsroom? Every character was a sassy, cracking wise reporter who could spin a sentence like silk just as Hepburn/Tracey did in their prime, it felt just false, and no character was different, the power wasn't special because all had it. Here again, everyone single person is a sentence auteur able to spout out complex references tommy gun style. I still enjoy it, but it's dropped a peg or two...not as much as GoT, but then maybe it had further to drop. The characters are becoming more black and white, and almost a caricature, rather than the complex infinite shades of grey of before and the pop culture references sometimes jar, being out of place and seem forced trying to be too cool for school.
I wouldn't be surprised if the writing staff has gone trough changes

Still enjoying Billions, but am under no illusions it will have great future seasons, the odds are against it.
I admit that I did really enjoy, and laugh out loud at some of the commentary in the boxing match 'It's more like watching the Walking Dead..'

I'm on the verge of bugging out of this programme simply because of that compliance bloke with the ears like the FA Cup. Can't even remember his name. Possibly the most irritating character on TV of all time.
It's turning to absolute st.
Spiros - he’s supposed to be annoying, he only works there because of his SEC past. It's turning to absolute st.

RE comments of show.
I kinda agree. I want to see Taylor be written out. Whilst the latest episode was great I am getting sick of the rivalry. Obviously Taylor is going to go after Rebecca, destroy her and then they'll call a truce or whatever. But it's boring. I want to see more of Chuck becoming corrupt like those he's ousted and the investigation into Jr/Snr.
I used to watch this show and not fully understand what was going on as I don't move in those circles but now it's almost predictable. Same happened to Suits.

I am now wary of looking forward to new seasons of my fave shows (Westworld, GoT as examples), an older example being Boston legal, loved the first three seasons, and after that, it morphed into a two season long party political broadcast for the election of Obama - so that stopped at season three for me (Westworld stopped at season one)

I did like the boxing match, it went the way I thought it would. Still watch this show religiously, but..I dunno. Acting is still tops, PG...da boss.Still enjoying Billions, but am under no illusions it will have great future seasons, the odds are against it.

THe two big power plays, Taylor and ginge and PG and Kurgan, still love it.
Oddly enough, I didn't really enjoy the boxing match story. Just seemed a bit pointless tbh.
I'm still interested and invested in the characters though. I bloody hate Chuck's dad. He seems a right stbag!
Great play by Taylor re the fracking. Bobby isn't going to be happy about that.
I still want to marry Wendy.

I do like it when they bring up something from real life - film quotes, porn actresses and this week a bit OTT the boxing "trainers".
But I thought it was strange that Bonnie mentioned the Sugar Ray Leonard v Donny Lalone fight, that fight was almost 31 years ago, I thought her character age would be around the mid 30's a bit young to remember that fight.

I’m with you for most of the above except Taylor.. I think ‘they’ have a great character and with Axe & Rhodes on the same side Axe needs an enemy! I’d go the other way and develop ‘their’ role/company/power further, ‘they’ve’ carried some of the more interesting plots since arriving.
The only way of writing ‘them’ out would be for ‘them’ to break the Axe/Rhodes relationship.. perhaps by working with Connerty. That then frees the big two to go head to head again leaving ‘their’ role redundant.
On second thoughts, Taylor’s very difficult to write about
Oh I dunno, it's easy to talk about them. The only way of writing ‘them’ out would be for ‘them’ to break the Axe/Rhodes relationship.. perhaps by working with Connerty. That then frees the big two to go head to head again leaving ‘their’ role redundant.

I think they are a great character, the smartest person we've met, learning the ropes, and able to better their former master. I'd like Taylor to stay, I don't want Chuck and Axe to go at it, we've seen that and I prefer those two in a tag-team.

I got it wrong the fight was actually 30 years ago (1989).But I thought it was strange that Bonnie mentioned the Sugar Ray Leonard v Donny Lalone fight, that fight was almost 31 years ago, I thought her character age would be around the mid 30's a bit young to remember that fight.
Sugar Ray Leonard had many memorable fights - Benitez, Hearns 1 & 2, Duran 1 & 2, Hagler but not the Lalone fight.
