/off topic...

Watched Outcast. Jesus wept it was woeful! So disappointed. I actually ended up fast forwarding sections of it, it was that tedious. Spent most of the episode waiting for 'fire up the quattro' to leave the preacher's lips his accent was that bad.

For an opening episode it came across a little slow at times, but this show may have potential, it certainly looks good and has an interesting cast. I'll give it a few more episodes before giving a proper opinion of it.

All over the place is pretty accurate IMO. Will need to improve a lot for me to continue.

Been a while since I read the thing.

The whole bit on a plane and tulip taking out the helicopter are added in, seems strange and unnecessary

Also introducing arse face so early I can still remember turning the page and laughing like an idiot, they introduced him too soon and the sherif is badly casted and not how I remember him. Iirc there was a bit of a build up and character setting before we saw him.

Just watched it now, liked it a lot (as someone who hasn't seen the comics). Bit weird in places, but its good, violent and funny. Thumbs up so far.

There is no way they can Show some of the stuff that happens in the comics.

Seems they are going to change quite a bit from the scource material

Don't worry, he makes an appearance in episode 2 which was excellent it's finding it's feet very quickly.

I'm pretty hooked on this and as a reader of the source material I'm excited to see the Mrs's face when certain things are revealed.

Yep, thought the second episode was a good followup.

Still had a little bit of mayhem and managed to progress the story nicely.

I'm know nothing of the source material, so have just ordered the first book.
I think this is rather good, certainly very stylish also quite humourous.

I've got all the books if you want the rest as I'm having a bit of a clear out. £40? Drop me a PM if you want them.

Watched the first episode. It's certainly very different. I think it'll grow on me especially as it has Ruth Negga in it. Something about her makes my bits twitch.

Thanks for the offer, I've never read a comic book before and don't know if I'll like it, so raincheck needed.

Just seen episode 3 and it was good. Won't spoil it but a question or two get answered. Plenty of Brits involved I see.

Hmm,not seeing the point in this. What am I missing. Why stray so differently from the books?

Tulip has met Cassidy why that way.

Preacher wants the church filled but in the books the church filled after he kicked that guys ass. That made sense also he resisted using the voice now he's using it all the time.

Damn it's slow, why these new characters the helper and the mayor who gives a fk about them. Why do we need their character development ... Am I the only one dissapointed?

Neither of us have any idea of the original media that inspired the Amazon TV series, but Mrs Digga and I are now hooked on our weekly fix of 'cartoon drama'.

FWIW, anyone amused by this who hasn't yet watched Deadpool is missing a treat IMHO. Was not something I'd have gone out of my way to watch, but did so through Hobson's choice on a recent long haul and really enjoyed it.

liked episode 1 but the next 2 have been a bit flat. It doesn't help that the Tulip character is becoming increasing annoying. Maybe that changes as we go forward.

I'm normally not one of those people who says books are better than films/ tv I can appreciate both. I can also see that if you hadn't read the books this would be something interesting / different .....

I'm just not seeing the point in straying so far from original script is I t to save money so they don't need different filming locations or something
