Well I enjoyed last nights basically ten shows to get to the first quarter of book one.

Now they are on the road looking forward to season 2 .

Well the character that was apparently Herr Starr in Ep3 (man in white suit at the snuff film festival) was played by Morse Bicknell. Though whether that casting stays is open to question.

Hmmm, just watched the last episode. I don't recognise much of the comic in the show at all (other than character names and basic plot themes) but it is its own thing and could be interesting once the 'road trip' element begins (which is where the comic pretty much started).

Thought the actual TV narrative jumped all over the place and was extremely uneven, also lots of loose/dead ends or poorly explained stuff. And the mix of comedy, drama and action just didn't seem to fully gel. But it did have style and could be tidied up into something good.

Some really, really dark imagery in that last episode with Odin & his 'child', Cassidy getting tortured and what happened to the mascots. But some utter bizarre craziness too with the phone call to God.

Really enjoyed the whole series, can't wait for the next one. Simple as that! smile

Watched the first two when it came out, then went on to other things. Last few days I've done the other episodes in one go. I liked it, very dark in a few places with the people hanging in the trees. The motel regenerating fight was brilliant, and a special award for best death goes to the woman in the background in the cowboy's 'finish the song' scene, jumping backwards into the wall when she was shot hehe . Noticed that and then couldn't unsee it in the replays!

I really enjoyed it too. Suitably different from the usual TV stuff with just the right balance of geek, blood, dialogue and violence. I particularly liked the arm/chainsaw/church moment laugh

Not sure what you mean by looking for, it should be easy to find in the highlighted stuff near the top of the Fire TV menu. It was 8 episodes so if you've seen those that's it for now.

Anyway, Preacher. Watched the first 2 new ones lastnight (after skipping through the end of S1 to remind myself what happened) and yep it's still got it smile .

Really enjoying series 2. Much faster moving than series 1 but still with the same atmosphere and humour.

The Saint of Killers is just an utter bd though. smile

I almost dropped out of watching the first series. I'm glad I stuck it as the new series is much better. It leaves you wondering what's next and wanting more.

This new 'baddie' had a good back story and was more enjoyable than the others.

Also, is it me or is this series less of a 'mess' than the first and easier to watch?

The first one was a prequel which was only vaguely related to the comics, this one is using the source material so is better & has the proper villains in it.
