You can read this, it's not spoilery just something that's probably obvious given the fewer episodes this time round.

Episodes 7 and 8 to be longest episodes of Game of Thrones yet at 71 and 81 minutes long. Previous longest S6 finale The Winds of Winter was 68 minutes.

I'm in the process of revisiting everything before it kicks off again. Just watched S4E1 and the scene with Arya and the Hound coming across Needle's new owner. Just awesome probably one of the best scenes in the series.

"Lots of s"
"fk the king"
"You're a talker. Listening to talkers makes me hungry"
"I'll take two chickens"

Just perfect dialogue.

yes
It's either perfect, or as near as dammit. ONe of the best scenes of the whole thing, great fight, 'I don't think you understand the situation.'
The only thing I'd change is when the HOund downs POlliver's pint, I'd have him slide his head so he never takes his eyeline off him.
I can watch that scene, over and over and over.

yes

It's mega. I love this season as Oberyn is just so damn watchable, probably my favourite character out of the lot (and there's stiff competition), so much charisma.

I for one am not watching any new trailer or reading any new info. I want to go into it completely fresh off last season.
this x1000000
modern trailers have a habit of cherry picking every single "good/key/shocking" moment from a film or series spoiling the entire thing.

No game of thrones series trailer has ever given anything away.

Sadly, for me, series 6 took a started to slide in quality.

I was wondering hos this could have been resolved earlier today, an I think, a new revolutionary idea.
Follow the pattern of the book. THat would mean the producers allowing their baby to be half taken over by someone else. Feast for Crows and Dance with Dragons happen, roughly at the same time. Have two shows running concurrently, say a red GoT and a blue GoT. One on MOnday, one on Thursday, no need for drastic, crazy and illogical plot changes, it would be epic, revolutionary, expensive sure, but then GoT smashed all records years ago.
Sadly, they slashed and burned and ripped through the story instead. I hope we are not going into, bad guy team ups versus good guy team ups territory in series 7.

I'm in the process of re-watching it again but get what you mean about the faith story line. It just makes me mad!

What was the problem with it?

The Faith story is GRR Martin's story-line as always he has used examples in history. The Faith (as he has said) is based on the Catholic church and it's rise in power in medieval Europe, it's over the top reactions to non-faith could also be based on the Spanish Inquisition, I bet you didn't expect that.

Although if he had used real examples from medieval Europe for his Faith story-line you probably wouldn't believe them.

I started again last week to allow the OH to watch it all and get caught up with it as she's never seen it, refused to.

Some amount of groundwork done in even the first 4/5 episodes, can't wait to get into the good stuff again in time for July.

Hating that Joffrey from the word go again was easier this time.

The Sparrows movement has it's historical allegories.

My fave GoT youtuber, Preston, has some really quite cool hypotheticals on just who might be behind this cheeky lil Sparrow movement.

Watch if you enjoy the deeper stories and plots in the books
