Really enjoyed all 8 series, despite the over the top brexit type whinging seen from some fans in S8.

Thinking of moving onto Gomorrah next to fill the gap.

One of the best scenes in a TV show I’ve ever watched

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sjSMAlwlqWw
That one and after his come back when the village gets wiped. Genital punts one with the axe, beheads another before asking the last “any last words?” “fk you” comes the response. “Is that the best you can do?” “” and then the Hound with, “you’re really st at dying” before finishing him off.

What a great character he was.

There are so many, but one of my favourite Hound moments is when he buries the girl whose father he had stolen their meagre savings from two seasons prior.

Compare that to him gloating about killing the butchers boy. Or when he condemned the people he now buries.

"Hate."

Aside from the awesome violence in that scene, it's the bit where he pulls the boots off the dying man that I love. Then as Thoros and Beric look on in mild disbelief as he is trying them on for dize he looks up and asks if they have anything to eat! laugh

Very disappointed with that, I haven't enjoyed this season as much as I thought I would.

I think it all tied in nicely, some bits I wasn’t happy with but as a whole it was probably right.

I wonder how this will affect merchandise sales, will it collapse like it did after the last Star Wars film?

It's going to be tough not discussing it on this thread until after the 9pm watershed.

I will simply confine myself to saying that I can't see how they could have resolved it any better than they did.

My thoughts are the fans were short changed in the rush to end the show.

The actors and crew were short changed in the effort they put in to make this season.

The final season was just not up to par with the earlier seasons.

There's been loads of crackpot theories on here and all over the last week, all of them would have needed another season. The same is true of the whole season really. As much as I have my reservations about the season as a whole, in the context of where we were it was inevitable that the Night King would die quickly, Cersei would put up no resistance and the last episode would go the way it goes.

I enjoyed the episode, but was left disappointed that the last three seasons weren't given the space they really needed.

I'd love to really understand why and I'd love to know in 20 years time whether D&D regret trying to bug out of Ireland as quick as possible rather than finishing what could have been a TV series that would have been virtually impossible to top.
