No Time to Die is on council TV (ITV) on New Year's Day.
That's come round quickly
I was thinking the same.
Between streaming and the pandemic the old timelines for when things would be available have all gone.

No Time To Die is on ITV now

I am predicting the first ad break to be after Bond arranges with Madeline to go and see Vespers grave
Its around 12 minutes in
I have arrived at this conclusion after watching the film from Blu Ray earlier today
And its beautifully shot

I have the bluray box set of all Bond films up to Daniel Craig, and also the DC box set in 4K.

A few months ago I started watching them all from the first film, but only got so far. Need to pick up where I left off but can't remember how far I got. But I intend to complete them this winter.

Watched nttd on itv last night. 1st time I had seen it.
Wasn't feeling it.
Him dying was poor.
Talk about go down a dead end.
All the nods to ohmss .... think up something new!
Ohmss is a masterpiece and should not be cribbed from .
I have not liked the Craig era. Skyfall is alright apart from the home alone ending.

Keep it simple. A baddie . Women. Fast cars. A simple story that is standalone. Action. Adventure. Humour. Simple you would think hey.

Can someone explain the significance in NTTD when JB is in the pond at the end and is shown the broken vial of blood? He touches the scratches on his cheek. Has he been infected by the nanobots as is going to die anyway?

And I'm probably late to the party here, but surely if he dies, by way of nanobot or Skud missile, surely that's the end of the franchise? Obviously you can have different actors play JB, but if JB himself is toast, then what next? His 'daughter' becomes Jane Bond? And was the daughter ever confirmed as his, or just assumed?

The nanobots would kill his family so he can never see his daughter again. Yes it was confirmed that she is his

Thing that annoyed me was at the end when they're all toasting Bond's memory and Tanner isn't there. I liked that Bond had some respect for him and he wasn't just portrayed as the idiot office boy.

Post credits a message appears on screen saying 'James Bond will return'.
But yes, killing Bond was just an awful idea. Whilst they may mostly be stand alone films, there was absolutely no need to kill him. The Bond films will continue as if his death didn't happen, but knowing Bond can die takes the tension away form the films, knowing that even if he dies he will be back again in the next film.

NTTD, trying to recapture the emotion in OHMSS. But this leads me to suggesting people watch Becoming Bond on London Live.
How the most entertaining thing on the TV this week is on this obscure channel is anyones guess.
We haven't seen an aussie so badly advised till Richiardo in F1. Though you could argue Lazenby was too cool to be a stuffy old british secret agent during that era.

It was better second time around but still feels a bit wierd, and very much a collection of bits trying to justify having a film built around them than a proper story. Some epic 'magic' to get the plot to jump from point to point too. Quite a lot of interesting bits to it but not a very memorable film overall.

The ending worked in the context of the film but it wasn't very 'Bond', felt like they built an excuse to take their ball & go home rather than be part of the wider franchise.

My take on this death thing is that it just completes that particular Bond story. The next one will have a new story arc, then time for another (and a new Bond). They can pick and choose bits from Bond history as they choose without being tied to continuity etc. A bit like, e.g. Batman. I don’t sit and watch a Christian Bale film and point out how this doesn’t reflect the 60s Batman. I think they reached the point where they can’t just keep churning them out with some pretence of continuity for ever more. Reboot and reset every few years. New Bond and, I suspect, new producers. That’s how I rationalise it. Still don’t agree with killing him though!

Theree is a humerous scene earlier whenTanner is looking for M and almost runs past him as M is sat in the corridor

It probably is. Doesn't mean he is the only one that has met with them though. Far from a done deal.

We’re in that period between Bond actors, when every British actor who looks good in a dinner jacket is considered for the role.
