Noticed a few Easter eggs / nods to Craig's films. Trapped under the Ice (Skyfall), Getting an Aston out of a lock up (Skyfall), Floating Lights on a River (Skyfall). Sure there will be some more.

Not sure what the trailer is about, looks like a pastiche of previous films updated and stuck together. Still hopefully it won't be as bad as the last turkey. I'll wait for the DVD to come out.

F me you’re good. You watch a 2 minute trailer (which contains very little other than ‘action shots’) and you critique the guys acting for the whole film which hadn’t been released yet. Do you do the lottery numbers too?

Yes. Strange that we are getting so much comment on how the film will be from such a short trailer. Being bond It would be remiss of the producers not to include typical Bond action / cars / girls / villain.

A friend in the film world says that trailers can be made up of early takes / dailies in order to give the public an early taste of the movie.

Indeed. I watched my fave yters play-by-play of the trailer and she said that the new 00 is meant to be funny, but she comes across as quite aggressive. I thought she was a knob.

They only wrapped filming end of October. I think because of the delays there was probably pressure to get something out quickly, especially as originally the film should have been released last month.

I agree thought that new 00 character in the tiny bits shown doesn't come across well. Maybe in context she will be better.

As for the Dr thing! I say that rumor circulating on line. Watching the trailer again I agree he is holding that gun awkwardly. I know some are going to scoff at that idea and say its rubbish but I really hope he is Dr No. That would be a great arc to end and re-introduce to of the main baddies.

With the Russians misbehaving in the world again maybe they can continue that in the next phase and bring SMERSH back

Crikey, I hope it isn't Dr No, devoid of new ideas and trying to keep ahead of super spy tom cruise and the bourne bloke they are trawling through the trunk for nostalgia stuff. Spectre was a mess and Skyfall was too wit it's call backs that make no sense in universe. It's all a bit too meta and up it's own bum.

I dont think they are competing with Bourne and MI. Bourne is long gone and unlikely to make a re appearance. MI series is Cruise's vehicle, how many more of those does he really have in him, afte hes gone that's dead. Bond will just keep rumbling on.
