Did anyone finish watching this? My wife and I are bingeing on it at the moment and up to episode 15 (I think), very 24 like, if something can go wrong it probably will. The political slant is interesting, though it's pretty much now more politics and less finding out what actually happened. also, for an independent, his policies and views that we see so far are definitely "Democrat" leaning.
It’s one of those shows I would class as a ‘guilty pleasure’. That is, I don’t think it’s very good, but I enjoy watching it.In most western democracies, I would think most politicians who are in the middle ground can find a place in either/any mainstream party. Independents are likely to be extremists, or those with inflexible moral positions (party politics requires all sorts of moral compromise). So as an independent, I would expect him to be just left of the Democrats. (It would be a very different show if he was right of the Republicans. )

24 was dreadful, is this any better in terms of hunt footage?
A bit fanciful like the most recent season of 24 was but without the gimmick of the clock. If Homeland is 100 I'd rate Designated Survivor at 50% and 24 at 40%.If you're looking for stuff like that have a look at Nobel and Occupied. Both Norwegian series. Nobel is the more "homeland" out of those two.

Watched all of this recently, as usual KS's acting left a lot to be desired but i enjoyed the overall idea. the mrs likes the slower stuff but so kept at it.
Started House of Cards as a result and finding that much better.
Might have to have a look at House of Cards then, US live TV sucks, hence us bingeing on stuff on Prime or downloaded. Tried Mr Robot (3 episodes in) and my wife isn't really enjoying it. Also want her to try Boardwalk Empire as I think she'd enjoy that.Started House of Cards as a result and finding that much better.
The first series was pretty enjoyable but they should have ended it when they worked out who was behind it.
But American series tend to run and run way beyond the point where stopping would be a good idea.
I'm about halfway through series 2 but haven't watched it in weeks now and I don't think I'll bother picking it up again.
I rather agree about Ms. Ricci too.
