Although most of us on here think most things they have done on Amazon have been rubbish, we have still watched them and paid for Prime
Amazon may consider the deal a huge success.
Prime means I get postage free and next day (for most stuff). The TV channel is just a bonus.Amazon may consider the deal a huge success.

I see a lot of regular posters writing very similar posts over the 480odd pages which gets a bit tiring. What exactly are you expecting given their previous form?
I cannot stand those Geordie pair ITV have presenting most of their prime time shows so I don’t watch them.

Quite right, I only signed up for Prime in December for next day delivery but seeing as I haven’t seen any of this new show I have watched it from S1E1 right up to the Bentley, RS and Caterham one, after every episode over the past 2 months I’ve then read this thread to the next point of call.

It’s the same on the Top gear thread too same old story people start hating the episode minutes into it....then they think back oh we loved the 3 porsches for £1.5k that was good all sI see a lot of regular posters writing very similar posts over the 480odd pages which gets a bit tiring. If you don’t like don’t watch or if you do then don’t bother posting online - it’s like OCD a bit odd
OCD isn't odd. That's ODD.

I was late to watch the last GT series. You know what to expect, really.
The mongolia tour was very good, as was H & M teasing Clarkson about his knowledge on it...."if you'd have been asked questions about mongolia on Who Wants to be a Millionaire...!"
Clarkson properly welled up at the end of the series, and I expect they will do some more road trips this year, pandemic permitting....
(For some reason I can't use a capital "M" at the beginning of M.ongolia on PH??)

On quest Richards hammonds BIG is a fairly decent watch where he learns about big stuff, I’ve really enjoyed them so far
He’s done, the burj kelifa in Dubai, the biggest container ship, a stadium, a oil rig, a damn and those big planes the us Air Force use
Some of them were ok, too many were aimed at thicko’s. It’s frustrating that they seem to aim all TV at the less intelligent these days. People like Hammond understand engineering, so why does it have to be aimed so low? He’s done, the burj kelifa in Dubai, the biggest container ship, a stadium, a oil rig, a damn and those big planes the us Air Force use

Because (like everything) numbers matter. The fact is that 'lowest common denominator' TV gets the most ratings (Britain's Got Talent, Ant and Dec, anything hosted by Paddy McGuinness or a TV chef, reality TV, etc etc.) and eyes on the product are what brings in ad revenue.Even with things like 'Big', they need to make it accessible. Top Gear wouldn't have been anything like the phenomenon it was, if they'd just reviewed cars like geeks. It took crashing, falling over, acting like dopes in order to really make waves in the modern ratings war.
Just a reflection of what makes up a lot of present day 'entertainment' I'm afraid.
As for "people like Hammond understanding engineering" - I'd suggest you rethink that belief.
