Definite improvement - best yet apart from the silly petrol episode.

I did until I realised it was staged, the blue LCR belongs to SEAT UK press fleet.
How many people think this was real and they just plucked a load of people from work on their dinner hour??
I enjoyed it despite realising fairly early on it was staged.

1. There were too many decent cars
2. There were too many competent drivers
3. "Binned it"
4. The finale had plenty of overtaking
5. Did you see that M3 drift?

Didn't stop me enjoying it and thinking what our work lunch time racing would be like.
Quite - the cars were plausible. But the average standard of driving was far too high for them not to be driven 'properly'

Anyone know what the car (looked like a Le Man's Group C car) was in Conversation Street, when they were mentioning all the new supercar. Was the 2nd one after the V16 job and sounded like an "ikea" ...?

Without spoilers for those who haven't seen - the final piece in todays new episode is a thing of automotive beauty.
If you're referring to the rally piece on GT, it's an almost identical cut-and-paste from a BBC4 documentary done ~5 years ago. And it's only about ~80% as good as the BBC one.

Yipper- where is your review gone this week? Whats the score out of ten!

Clarkson's film was wonderful. Totally engaging, interesting and not OTT. Brilliant!

Great episode. A bit too young to remember that era of rallying, so hadn't heard the stories before. Fantastic piece though.
Me the same, although I’ve watched lots of things about group b, I didn’t know that story.
Lovely piece.

Wow that’s a great documentary. The bbc link didn’t work on my iPad so I used this one.

Apologies if it’s hooky.

Well worth watching and I agree with the Yipper, the original BBC one is much better. I don’t think it’s a direct copy though, just two documentaries about the same era.

Only minor issue was Clarkson confusing traction and grip.

Aspark Owl? Who would want a car called that? Sounds like something you need to light a fart.

Performante - Good solid review. I think that 458 Speciale is actually James'
Conversation - Felt good. Good interaction from the audience. Disppointed to learn it's a "Augmented reality TV" person in the front row. (Yes that is the OFFICIAL term laugh )
Fuel - OK I guess, Liked the "finger" to open the flap. By far not their worst ever "fun" item.
Guests - I'm not a boxing person, but I like AJ. Always conducts himself well. Still FFWD the section though biggrin
Lancia/Audi - Nice, great to get interviews with the old team boss. Didn't really mention Audi but I guess not the point. Delta S4 could have got a mention at the end I suppose. But such is life
