That was great!
Why di they do this. In S01 the first 8 episodes or so were ste, then the last couple were good. Same story here. The first 2/3rds of S02 cack. Finally doing decent pieces!
No show of this kind would put out crap episodes earlier- as then viewers may switch off and not bother watching the later ones. Why di they do this. So either the programmer makers don't know what their viewers want, or outside the PH bubble the other stuff is actually popular.
Also they were kind of stuck with some order, as the Hammond crash and then any walking with crutches bits had to be in consecutive episodes.

Right that was excellent.
Geography experts.
I drive 3 times a year from past Pau to Jaca that wasn’t that route. Didn’t look like the more major route next crossing over.im guessing it was one of the dead end routes up the mountain.
Sign post didn’t help because thats the other side of Zaragoza further south so some artistic licence was included.
Any ideas? Looks like an interesting road or maybe the D934 hmmm think I’ll try that next time.

Maybe I'll go back and watch the f-off, I normally just forward through automatically.
Good show apart from may playing completely out of character just to provide the contrast. Since when has he approved of road cars setting lap times on nurburgring? It didn't need him. No one buys something like that for any rational reason. It could have just been Clarkson and Hammond enjoying (occasionally) those two great machines

I haven't missed the point though... I'd still choose an Eagle GT if I could. I think that compares very favourably with the two oldies presented../quote]
Nice, but collectors would be more interested in the real deal rather than any modern replica I'd have thought.
Neither IS the real deal though. And whatever a collector might want, I was talking about touring around Europe in one, as was shown.Nice, but collectors would be more interested in the real deal rather than any modern replica I'd have thought.
The Jag might be the same as an original, I agree, but the prices quoted show it isn't the real deal.
The Aston definitely wasn't a continuation.
In that context, why not an Eagle GT. I know exactly what one is - a modern upgrade but far superior to tour around Europe in.

Pretty much exactly what I said a few posts back. Last couple of episodes have been up there with the very good old TG stuff. Fun, beautifully shot, great soundtrack, car noises, informative (but not super nerd). The Aston/Jag piece this week and the Lancia/Audi piece last week are up there with some of the best stuff they’ve done in any format.
Perhaps an effect of TV? I briefly spoke to Nick at the Goodwood Members' Meeting last year and he didn't appear as crusty as he did on TGT. What an episode, really enjoyed it. The Jag and Aston looked and sounded great. Best guest pairing ever. I also thought Nick Mason would walk away with it on track with the F-Type. Must be slowing down a bit.
A good, but not great, episode this week.
GT40 review was okay. Sleb chat was entertaining, even if nobody knew who they were. The Aston / Jag / Honda sketch was watchable, but dragged on way too long. Good find on the Barca banked-track. Toyota doggers seemed real and was proper lol.
Score = 6 / 10.

WTF? I'd be extremely surprised if anyone had not heard of Pink Floyd, nor if anyone with even a passing interest in cars was unaware of Nick Mason's car collection.
Edit: Sorry, I guess I just fed the troll didn't I.
