Well the series hasn't been an overwhelming success. Too hit n miss would be fair. Hence my "not as good as they thought they were"

If those figures are true. (probably are) It would be interesting to see (as per the comment above) how many were just free trial. I wonder how many signed up for the free trial, watched 4-5 episodes of TGT/Amazon prime TV series and didn't renew.

The issue is their metric doesn't show why people ACTUALLY signed up. Just that they did and from the relatively limited offerings chose to watch TGT first. (Man in high tower was, IMO cack for example, but lots raved about it) They'll also know what the general viewing figures were for the show. If they see massive spikes for the first couple episodes and then it drops away. It's probable that people are signing up for the free next day delivery. Which makes financial sense if you buy a lot from them that you need urgently

The TV is "possibly" a side distraction and not why people commit to £80 a year.

It was December last year, November the year before that so with the wind down for Christmas I'm not surprised it's January. Shame though, I was hoping it would be sooner, I've missed all the comments from people saying it's unwatchable it every week.
