It's only taken 15 years of constantly being told it's st before they dropped the celebrity section. I assume that's partly why the tent is going too, they only spent about five minutes in there.
They dropped the celebrity section because Amazon can see what people watch, second by second, and they saw how many people whizzed past it.

I wonder if the BBC can do the same thing with iplayer, or perhaps they're using BBC logic and keeping SIARPC regardless.

Also where is the fastest circuit in Europe? The internet gave me a list of F1 circuits, where Monza won, but are there others. Probably an oval somewhere, I think there is a functioning one (ie not Rockingham) in the Netherlands.

There's always been the theory that TG's SIARPC (or whatever the celeb bit is now called) is to classify the show as a chat show or variety show or somesuch, which gives better funding. Although that could well be bks of course. smile

I can ask my brother if you like, he's the senior iPlayer engineer for the BBC. Is it not there so when they sell to Dave that's the bit they cull, to last an hour including ad breaks?

I thought it was part of the deal to get Clarkson back on Top Gear for the reboot all those years ago. He’d moved on and had a chat show on BBC2 IIRC and this seemed like a way for him to merge the two things, without admitting his chat show was awful and a failure.

So let me get this right, the beeb deliberately make bits of programmes crap, so it, it'll fit in with commercial TV schedules?

If I were at Dave (or any of the other commercial channels who buy it) I'd demand so, yes. Flogging it's worth a lot to the BBC.

The annoying part is that the Camaro is available with carbon brakes in certain versions. I couldn't help thinking the narrow parts of the course we're to favour the Mustang and Clarkson is the fastest of the three, anyway.

a) Dave is actually part of the BBC (via UKTV which is 50/50 BBC/Discovery)
b) The repeats on Dave tend to have the guest sections anyway.

So...

I for one will be sorry to see Clarkson and his mates eventually stop doing this. Just check out Clarkson's XJS youtube stuff he hasn't really changed that much.

Same with Pointless. You can spot the presenters rambling on for no reason so they can lose a few minutes when it appears on Dave.

Enjoyed it.

Still think Hammond is annoying and talentless but he’s part of the formula.

Glad the show is back.

It does just show how subjective looks are, the Senna is the only McLaren that I actually like the look of. I think all the other McLaren models look bland/not particularly striking. I found the Senna a nice pleasant change.
I have to agree although it did remind me of an Exige on steroids.
Which is good.
