I'm watching part 1 right now and it's like pulling teeth. Utterly tedious, and the gay jokes are pathetic. The drug references are pretty weak too, and the less said about the donkey bothering the better.
Hammond's peril on the bridge did look genuine. As did May throwing a stone at Clarkson's windscreen. But it was just awkward rather than entertaining.
All very predictable and tired.

If you had been watching the three Amigos for sometime now its surprising people don't know exactly what is to come in each show.
If you want new and innovative your not going to get it with TGT. Part of the charm is we do know what to expect and they very rarely miss the chance to be "cheeky"

What i can't understand is that people who constantly find fault & ridicule this show still continue to watch it .
If i don't like a programme i don't watch it. Each to their own i guess.
Is the perfect metaphor for PH. I can just imagine posters rushing to watch it on release day and rubbing their hands together throughout while they think of witty put-downs.If i don't like a programme i don't watch it. Each to their own i guess.
I've watched both parts on Prime and I enjoyed it. Life is far too short to spend it dissecting a simple entertainment TV show.
If i don't like a thread i don't read it. Each to their own i guess.
Seriously you KNOW this thread has people complaining about the show and making negative comments, if you don’t like it - don’t read it.

Well, I thoroughly enjoyed episode 2. First part wasn't as good but still enjoyable, but the 2nd parter was well worth watching.
Same here, enjoyed both Columbia specials but the 2nd half was better that the 1st. Laughed at the bit where Hammond was taking photographs of the dead bird while May and some of the crew were putting the Panda back on its wheels in the background.

Agreed
The humming birds were superb
another one for the humming birds, genuine WOW moment from Mrs Iroc and me, I also liked the ridiculousness of the monster-truck and the Jeep. All that said I think I'd be a lot happier if I never have to see Clarkson's legs again The humming birds were superb

I should probably clarify my previous post to add that I enjoyed the the first episode immensely. And, also, as others said, the 2nd part of the special was much better than the 1st part.
I think most people agree that it wasn't their best Special, though.
There's a fair bit of contradiction to your earlier post CC, namely -I think most people agree that it wasn't their best Special, though.

The P1 gay jokes were extremely lame, and only there as a 'the BBC wouldn't let us say this' dig. P2 was better, much better, and I agree, other specials were better (although some worse, EG India)
