Went to the British Motor Museum at Gaydon yesterday where they have a Car SOS exhibition featuring 8 cars that they’ve restored on the show. Not sure how long more it’s on for but the cars did look in top condition.

I'm sure you are all correct in that they would lap in the valves etc they can't cover every bit of work although they could cover more if they stopped that stupid blagging parts rubbish.
Two things about that particular episode though.
1) if the car had been in the guys garage next to the house how come he didn't notice it was missing?
2) did you take a close look at the shot of the exhaust tail pipe at the end. The rear valance which surrounds the pipe still looked pretty rough.....
Maybe some of us are still old fashioned - Yup!

Man does cars gardening etc woman does cleaning cooking.
This chap isn’t that healthy so might very well not be doing anything work wise for £ or in the house - who knows. - So never, in all the weeks the work takes he never ventures into the garage at all.

Actually why the conspiracy thought? Seems like a typical snowflake/keyboard worrier or someone who stalks.
Just saying. Certainly not, always enjoy the programme and the guy definitely seemed surprised.

Enjoy it wmfor what it is job done. I Did.

Just watched series 6 ep10, Helen’s blue Capri restored by Ric Wood.

Really enjoyed that and quite possibly the nicest restoration across all the recent car shows.

Interesting to see how tyres are made too.

To be fair, for a car that had been dissolving for decades that's not a bad list IMHO.

Brake imbalance. Fuzz hasn't got a brake tester.
A brake lamp inop. 1970s Italian electrics.

And a seat runner problem.

Sure , the ball joint was missed by someone, but considering what had been done to the car, it's small potatoes

ETA and it passed the next day.

Just checked car and classic as the one Fuzz and Tim drove was epic - the one they worked on looked a little different.

Anyway WOW that’s a heap load of £ even for entry cars.

Just caught up with this episode - great stuff as always (although why could'nt Tim just sit in the front passenger seat with Fuzz during the test drive section!?.. annoying.. even for Tim)

Also.. was he expecting to have it back in bright blue?!.. I know it was the factory colour, but did I miss any kind of discussion about not doing it in the Red that the owner would probably have been expecting to see again?
