Isn't it an old one, where they're fixing Sierras and Rovers?

It's reasonably new, one of the programs was a horsebox, new beemers, Peugeot patrol car, motorbikes, and riot bus.

As for timelines, I locked a guy up for drink driving back in August and it only just got to magistrates court on Monday, and that was quite fast for Manchester (GMP).
We nearly lost the case due to CPS dropping a clanger with the case and the defence lawyer being pretty hot and pulling at all sorts of threads to undermine the case. CPS had us getting a custody officer to write a statement while we were waiting for court to confirm they were trained on the intoximeter.
Can a magistrate impose extra penalties because defendant tried to be clever?

Off topic - if you have the Crime and Investigation channel, 'Cops uncensored' is mental. Like Traffic cops on drugs with guns.

Americans doing what they do best (shooting).

Yeah. Still nice to see more of ur money going up in smoke. £40k in written off vehicle costs from a chav who will never pay tax into the system. Imported criminals shoplifting thousands of pounds of items each week.

The chavs weren't driving the police cars, I saw over excited cops ramming stolen vehicles.

Yeah I wasn't sure why they didn't just let the stinger do it's thing as it seemed quiet enough

Thing I don’t get is ‘No further action relating to …’, last week it was the lad who stole the motorcycle, this week it was shop thefts.

I’m aware it’s not up to the police, but rather a CPS decision, but what’s the point of catching them if the CPS aren’t going to try and prosecute, hardly a deterrent being caught and let off.

Think they were pre-empting the 'wrong way down the motorway" - as has been shown in either this or Police Interceptors - where a Fiesta (I think) litteraly did a 180 and tried to head back up a motorway from a slip road.

I did comment to the other half last night about doing a supermarket sweep through Tesco because it seems even if caught on CCTV and with a car full of shopping you get away with it.

I find Julian interesting. On the beat he comes across as a prize prick (IMO); whether that's acting up for the camera or necessary for the job I don't know. Off the beat, during the interludes, he comes across as far more thoughtful and introspective.

Another week of no real deterrents for involvement in shoplifting. The 14-year-old in the back of the Corolla hasn't seen any real reason to fear or respect the law when nobody got a touch despite having the tagged items in the car.

Just watched last night's program, if I was custody sergeant dealing with that idiot drink driver from the wedding party, he'd have been woken every 15 minutes to make sure he was ok after "taking all those drugs" in the police van. wink

Some knobs alright, Easy target comes to mind.

No need for getting mouthy with him, It was pretty obvious he didn't see/hear them. I seen him take out ear plugs when he stopped.

I also wouldn't like the patronising manner they dealt with it, If they stopped me like that.

Not very professional if you ask me.

That Mini driver has shunted the Suzuki a good distance down the road, blown 102 in the back of the ambulance too.

Apart from the potential injuries and losing her licence it’ll be embarrassing every time she spots her neighbour when entering/leaving her house.

What an eejit
