Bit of a worry isn’t it. A few weeks ago somebody was reported for leaving a restaurant without paying the bill. I bet if he had left of foot or a pushbike, the owner would have got a crime reference number and that would have been the end of it. Because he left in a car and clipped a wall on the way out they found all the resources in the world and set about finding him.
They did and he was charged with several things, nothing to do with the leaving without paying though, which is what the restaurant owner would have been most bothered about.
It’s rapidly become apparent you can do what you like in this country, as long as you don’t do it in a car.
This is very true, policing is understaffed in frontline policing. Because they are so understaffed work pressure is high, so most cannot wait to leave to join specialist departments (Traffic/Firearms/CID etc), leaving the frontline even more stretched. They did and he was charged with several things, nothing to do with the leaving without paying though, which is what the restaurant owner would have been most bothered about.
It’s rapidly become apparent you can do what you like in this country, as long as you don’t do it in a car.
And from my experience the specialist areas are then very reluctant to then help out on the frontline.
And to be honest can you blame them, sit in a warm car waiting for the next chase to turn up or head to the local council estate to take a crime report and statement for a harassment via Facebook!

The first chase with the bike that went wrong side of carriageway.
The first police vehicle abandoned it for the helicopter. They’re saying on the voiceover he will think he’s safe and wont hear the helicopter and what not. But not 5 seconds later on the helicopter footage as he goes round the roundabout. There’s a Police car following. So which is it. Have you abandoned or not.
He didn't even mention he also won't hear because he's wearing a helmet. The first police vehicle abandoned it for the helicopter. I'm pretty sure, no helmet with road noise = can hear helicopter. Helmet with road noise = can't hear the helicopter or much else.

I want to see some criminals get given real jail time. Last night was all ongoing enquiries etc etc.
This is why it takes so long, and so many cases are are not bought into the justice system by the CPS, and so many scrotes get away with crime:https://www.lawsociety.org.uk/campaigns/criminal-j...

Out of curiosity, why are the Union flags on the officers' uniforms black and white rather than the regular red white and blue?
https://www.google.com/search?q=thin+blue+line+fla...Utter scum driving both drunk and in such a manner. I don't know if it's because I use the road regularly, or that I was hit by a drunk driver last week that its made me feel really angry.
My collision was only minor damage, but he drove off and got caught very soon after, I'm really hoping the traffic cops cameras were filming his arrest(it happened in York), my guy failed to provide, but was definitely drunk, was drinking from a can of Stella as he sped off!
