I'm genuinely interested in those going to see it expecting/knowing it will be terrible.

Why?

If you have Odeon Limitless etc fair enough, nothing really lost. Buy paying good money to see something you have a very strong idea will be utter garbage?

I remember reading that Bay had another 13 of these story boarded out at home! No wonder they're complete balls, sounds like he knocks em out in a evening over a couple of beers.

They are films about giant robots fighting each other, based on a children's comic and directed by a 12 year old. I can't be the only one unsurprised by how bad they are...?

What a car crash that was. I only went as there was nothing on tv to watch tonight. Female lead was the only reason I stayed

My colleague saw it last night, he is a massive Transformers fan; has been since a child and the cartoons.

He is aware that since the original film, the franchise hasn't been the last word in great films but he likes them all the same, however he said that this one was terrible.

A good film can be made from any source material, it's just laziness and bad judgement that makes bad films.

I don't think you can class Michael Bay as 'source material'.

As an aside, I know a guy who worked as a stuntman on it who said Michael Bay is the worst to work for in the entire world.

hehe Well yeah, I agree, I'd class him as a supplier of bad judgement, though the Chinese love him.
Someone above mentioned Furman, he wrote the best TF stories. I've not seen Pacific Rim, another giant robot film, but RLM rate it, so I'd quite fancy watching that.

I really like Pacific Rim as it goes. An example of giant robots done right, in my book.

I love a big robot movie but my god this was pretty terrible! It was all over the place and the robot characters are just getting silly. It's like they've given them all the personality of Jar Jar Binks!

Still, Laura Haddocks character kept me focused on the screen!

I want to be sat in the design meeting where someone decided it would be jolly useful to equip one with a sword....

Saw it last week and it was fking terrible.

The worst film I've seen in a very long time. Wouldn't waste your money.

Got a loose end this afternoon so going to see it before it leaves cinemas. I'm a huge transformers fan from the early days. I am going in with zero expectations.

Frank Weller back as Megatron though. Sold!

Saw this last week - quite enjoyed it.

Don't go with huge expectations and you wont find it disappointing. It is robots battling others after all.

The film itself was fine. However it needed to lose 30 minutes from it's runtime.
