When Carol decided to help Ezekiel at the gate, why this those two blokes with the Hummer run away without shooting her in the back first?

You have to suspend disbelief about ballistics for most of the gun battles.

Ballistics AND logistics. I can only assume they captured NATO’s biggest ammunition dump and manufacturing facility, at some stage, but didn’t show when, as the sheer quantity of bullets fired per show would have sapped north Americas total supply long ago.

Seriously, it was like watching some silly kids show, those clowns just unloadimg non stop for five minutes on that fking pickup with Carol ducked down behind the bulletproof body panels..... Then on cue she would stand up, fire 200 rounds back, then duck again.

Pitiful.

I have yet to see any of them visit a national guard depot of which there are many in Georgia, South & North Caroline and Virginia before they even get to Washington DC. Plus because Georgia still think they are fighting the Union they also have an additional state defence force for added weaponry storage. And this is before you start including normal Army bases.

I'd go and get a tank or 12.

I haven't watched this weeks episode yet. I'm planning to watch it tonight and this could be the final straw if it's as bad as you all say! Lol

Just caught up. Dire.
I think it's all been said already but I commented to MrsB that it was like an 80's sat night action show like the A team but with added gore.
The cars were so obviously strapped together, the tiger budget ran out, the variable speed zombies, endless bullets and the inability of the bad guys to kills anyone who isn't a red shirt.

Only watching because the Mrs wants to now and in hope it recovers.

Ah this is something I think they actually thought about, they were actually out of ammo, the first time ever that has happened this series. She mentioned it when saying they should come out and they taunted her back saying she should come out into the open and find out.

Somebody in TWD ran out of ammo? Two people in RWD ran out of ammo? Oh, come ON! How realistic does that sound?

I would have laid down on the ground, seen where Carols feet were, under the truck, and unloaded a dozen rounds into them. Is that thinking so far ‘outside the envelope’ or is it just the mercenary in me coming out?

The way they shoot on TWD, bad guy stands up and fires then ducks down behind a car, then Carol stands up and fires then ducks down behind the car, repeated. I would stand up and fire, stop firing but remain standing and then shoot again when she stood up.

I quite liked the episode getmecoat

Took a second watch and the 80's cheese, the synth score, the bollywood style dramatics... it was quite funny and definitely a unique episode.

Of course you have to suspend your disbelief at times. But if you can, it was an 80's cheese-fest.

Perhaps jumping on the Stranger Things 80's good vibe bandwagon?

I have to echo seemingly everyone's thoughts here and say I'm losing faith in this show now, I feel I'm just watching each week because I've watched it since the beginning, rather than because I want to.

This series so far seems to have just been endless rousing speeches and rigid gun battles where everyone stands behind cover shooting at each other. I've lost count of the times I've shouted at the telly for the people to "push their attack" (seemingly justified when the dead turn into zombies at attack their friends, or zombies turn up from somewhere else and attack from behind - yeah, like you planned that!), "flank them now you've pinned them" and "why are you talking to them and not shooting them?".

I'll keep watching, but I lack the enthusiasm I had for the earlier series.

Could’ve saved these first 4 episodes if Rick had just shot Negan on those steps. Wouldn’t have been difficult would it ...

You wouldn't need to do that. The only bullet proof bit of a pick up truck is the engine. Every shot that hits the bodywork would result in a bullet and other debris passing out the other side.

Just spray the bodywork, and the person the other side would have many holes.

Starting to lose interest in this.... Massive fan but it's just too pathetic now.

As above, The big looooooong speech and the shootout, Few snipers and take him out. Job done in 1 episode.

But no let's have endless shootouts over 4 episodes, Where no real main character dies. Cliffhanger with a gun to Ricks head in 2, They were never going to pull the trigger and Daryl was always going to save the day.

It's just boring as there's a certain group you know that their not going to kill.

Guaranteed by some miracle Negan will get out of the cabin (Possibly use Gabriel as bait?)

If anyone isn't enjoying the current season so far I would stop watching until the war with the Saviors is over.

If anyone is watching and waiting for them to be back in the same situation there were in the early seasons with barely enough food to survive, scavenging and wandering through Atlanta never really finding a place to stay I would stop watching entirely

I did mention those bulletproof body panels in an earlier post. Not a single one penetrated through to the other side.

Foolishly, in a moment of boredom, I was present today, when my daughter watched the recorded episode. I happened to watch as Rick followed the truck, and the guy opened up with a tripod mounted Gatling gun......yet not a single round hit Rick, or his jeep, or his windscreen.....

.....Oh for the love of god.....

They must have had the most accurate 50 cal gunners ever bearing in mind the group was scattering and they were firing from an elevated position.

Strange as no one can usually hit anything
