I finally caught up.
We used to watch this live, every Monday or at worst Tuesday. It's now obviously Sunday, even then it was a case of 'nothing else is on' rather than wanting to watch it.
What an incoherent mess, jumping around all over the shop. Felt like they showed it in the wrong order.
Also the Saviours seem as dumb as everyone else.
"so here's the plan, we'll sneak up on their base, then give them a warning we are coming in giving everyone a chance to escape/prepare"
"B-team, could you stop the convoy, threaten them and then when they agree to your demands let them go back home unsupervised"

And of course the moody close-ups. I assume they are supposed to be evocative but it just went on so long it was funny. A bit "st lads, we need another 5 minutes"

During the Rick/Negan fight I shouted for someone to die, anyone, don't care who.

I have been a huge Walking Dead fan since the very start, must watch telly always including a few questionable downloads when required.

My wife checked out last series but I persisted with it, hoping for a return to form. It was not worth it. I'm done.

Too many stupid decisions that make no sense and are clearly written in such a way to advance the plot, not because of a logical storyline reason.

Too may instances of round-we-go-again where despite having sat through 1/2 a series we're pretty much back where we started.

Rick being a moron.

Too many characters I just don't care about anymore who used to be awesome.

Too little focus on a world filled with walkers.

Rick being a moron.

Too much suspension of disbelief being required.

They seem to be trying to be artistic/clever and forgetting to go with the story etc..

Agreed. Just finished catching up last night...I'll probably end up watching the second half of the season when there's nothing else on but it has really lost its spark.

I would like to see Rick die now.
What was with rubbish people scene? Unless we see whatsherface naked apart from a red apron again it is just a ridiculous load of crap.

How many more times will Rick say he is going to kill Negan but never does when he gets the chance?

I actually deleted the first half of the season without watching any of it, you have reminded me to delete the series link record from my planner. I thought I'd love anything zombie-related, and have the first 6 seasons on Blu Ray, but that's where I'll leave it, I don't know what they've done, but it now seems almost unwatchable.

I'd not seen these before, they're funny because they are true.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_IANLk2Cv0

I find this thread more entertaining than the show, my NowTV sub ran out and I can't be bothered to renew for the second half of the series. I think they are going to see very low viewing figures and pretty much all the people I speak to in real life about this have now given up.

Latest Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PeD1iy0Qt9g

Also great news! Scott Gimple has been moved upstairs from NEXT season... and Angela Kang (she wrote 'Still' and 'Try' - two great episodes) will be the new showrunner. Perhaps a tad too late to save the series?

I watched that and even the trailer bored me. I'm out.

I’m pretty sure I’ve read that Carl is definitely leaving. How they do it remains to be seen!

I've heard his death scene will be filmed over an entire series, mostly flashbacks & backstory.

S8 part 2 synopsis.

1) Carl will probably be the one to kill Negan. They have a private chat, then dying and turning behind Negan's back and killing him. This will not happen until the final episode.
2) Rick has 5 more opportunities to kill Negan but doesn't.
3) Morgan looks a bit more distant and sulky.
4) King Ezekiel is rescued by Jerry.
5) Carol does everything on her own.
6) American Football padding continues to be bullet proof
7) Guns have infinite ammo.
8) They still never hear a walker coming in the woods.
9) Trash hobbits change sides again
10) Another helicopter flies overhead

Recon that's pretty much going to be it but with cuts to flash backs of Corals life before the zombie outbreak as he slowly turns throughout the whole season. laugh

So basically dragging 5 minutes of story through 8 hours of episodes. Sounds like good ol’ walking dead hehe

Just watching Brewster's Millions. First time for ages, just realised his interior decorator played by Tovah Feldshuh was none other than Deanna Monroe in TWD.

How time flies.
