I really wish they'd just release these things properly.

stty quality leaked footage does them no favours.

I can understand them doing the reveal at comicon - but why not just release the trailer straight after.

It's not like people will be going to comicon just to see a trailer x months before anyone else.

Looks like the same old same old to me.

Let me guess...Bad guy comes to (or from) earth with his army of creatures and does battle with earths super heroes.

Done recently in Justice League and moreover Marvel did it before with Avengers Age Of Ultron IIRC.

Are there no other scripts left in Hollywood now?

Where you hoping for a romantic comedy of sorts?

All of the films have been leading up to Thanos Vs the super heroes.

The majority of films now days are cookie cutter efforts, but its how they are executed that makes the difference.

DC's Justice League is a case of done badly, i suspect this may be quite a bit better.

I’m not coming out of the MCU films feeling they’re all the same, even if they’re not straying too far from a basic formula. Recently Guardians 2, Ragnarok, Civil War and Homecoming have, for me, all stood on their own as very decent yet different movies as well as moving the MCU itself forward, Black Panther is looking very much like its own spin on the formula too.

Strip the superhero stuff away and Civil War was a very solid thriller, ditto Homecoming as a coming of age/high school movie.

I would expect Infinity War to be the safest of that bunch (but with the added stakes of possibly actually killing off a character or two, something only Guardians has dared to do so far), but I also appreciate how well they seem to juggle so many characters. They’re making it almost look effortless, yet the likes of Justice League show how difficult it is to do the basics well.

gadgetmaс - Marvel acknowledges this fact, and prepares something different for phase 4 of their universe, with Ragnarok and Homecoming giving us a clue to what it will be, and concentrating on 'the enemy within' approach which we saw in Civil War.

Pretty much what everyone already knows anyway.

We have known for a while who the bad guy is going to be, we have known for a while who the superheroes are, we have known for a while that they are finally introducing the Guardians of the Galaxy to the Avengers team, we have known for a while that the bad guy wants all the Infinity stones. None of this is a surprise, it has all been well documented.

What we are looking forward to is how they stick them altogether into an entertaining film, rather than Age of Ultron which was well-intentioned but forgot to be as good as it should have been.

It’s interesting that the most celebrated superhero movie of the year is actually horrendously generic, particularly the third act, but that element seems to be massively glossed over.

I really enjoyed Wonder Woman until the final battle/enemy. It followed exactly the same trajectory as Suicide Squad, which took a hammering for ‘generic baddy in dark environment’ (and BvS, for that matter).

The MCU has matured enough (in terms of sheer volume if nothing else) to step away from that occasionally, but I think everyone is expecting/demanding a Thanos face-off in Infinity War.

I think this will suffer from having too many characters in a single film that all need their 5 minutes.

Just imagine the budget just for the actors; with the vast majority being massive Hollywood names, the total budget must be immense.

I'm not so sure.

The reason the MCU teamups work is that when they finally do team up - most characters have a well established back story, having appeared in at least one or two movies previously. They can get straight down to business as we know exactly what to expect from those characters right off the bat.

How do you mean?

It just looks like Iron Man in a variation/upgrade (perhaps mark 2) of the 'Hulk Buster' armour introduced in Age of Ultron.
