Is that Caps holding off Thanos? I was trying to work out who it was!

It definitely looks like it, its a bit of a shame they destroyed Mjolnir as i would have like to have seen Cap use it against Thanos.
As for a death, it's got to be Cap and Bucky to replace him.
Whose the fella torturing Dr Strange?

How many super heroes/villains can these films keep churning out. I never read or want to read the comics but all this crazy, weirdness is just boring.
Well Marvel has been going since 1961 (technically 1939) so plenty more to come for those of us that do enjoy the comics and subsequent films that are using the characters from these comics. But thank you for your contribution to the thread (Assuming your one of those people who comments "who cares" or Who are they" on Daily Mail articles)

Somebody big is gonna die in this I reckon or it will make a mockery of the Marvel universe. If the biggest threat in the Marvel Universe can’t kill even one of the tens of Superheros ranged against him then where does the next threat come from? My money is on either
1) Captain America
or
2) Iron Man
But somebody HAS to go!
Agreed, but while the Sorceror Supreme has the Time Stone they can always bring them back.1) Captain America

Anyway - Thor buys the farm at some point in the comics also. To be honest I thought he'd be killed in Ragnorak - so Thor is my bet.
I’m quite hopeful for a Terminator 3-esque ending.
There’s a lot being made of the finger click plus we know that Avengers 4 is essentially Part 2 of this film but they’re not releasing the title, hence the title itself is a spoiler for this film. Add into that the fact the next film, Captain Marvell has some time-travel shenanigans happening and I think Infinity War is going to end on a bit of a downer...

Deaths, well RDJ has been out of contract for some time and does them because he enjoys them, they touched on possibly his best story with the booze thing, though never made him a full alcoholic, missed that shot now. Rhodes also seems fked.
I can see Cap dying, and Bucky or Falcon replacing him.
I can also see THor dying, the power of Mjölnir now seems to be inside him, or the Odinforce, or something
The comics have played with deaths awfully over 60 years, I hope MCU doesn't do it the comic way.

gadgetma? - Marvel acknowledges this fact, and prepares something different for phase 4 of their universe, with Ragnarok and Homecoming giving us a clue to what it will be, and concentrating on 'the enemy within' approach which we saw in Civil War.
I think I can guess at Ragnarok, what does HOmecoming hint at?Vocal Minority said:
I thought, Bucky took the role after Steve Rogers was shot at the end of Civil War, then Sam Wilson (falcon) after that, and then Steve Rogers came back somehow, but was brainwashed into thinking he was a hydra double agent?

You could tell ahead of time who was dying due to the length of the deal with the studios the different actors had signed. Anyway - Thor buys the farm at some point in the comics also. To be honest I thought he'd be killed in Ragnorak - so Thor is my bet.
All of the original Avengers actors' contracts expires with Avengers 4 while Bucky has 4 films left after Avengers 4. The obvious pick is Bucky taking up the Captain's shield, and now Valkyrie replacing Thor. I think they wanted Portman to take on Thor as in the Comics with Jane becoming Lady Thor, but that didn't work out so now it will be Valkyrie. Outside bet they go with Stark building a robot Thor (played by Hemsworth) to tide them over to Lady Thor.
In theory they are meant to replace the entire lot of the original cast. However I'm expecting them to keep most of the cast as the recent films have had a decent return, it is just if they can get the original actors back for a reasonable fee.
Anybody they kill can be bought back with use of the reality stone to undo anything Thanos does over the 2 films. The lack of permanence about any deaths would make Infinity War pointless for me.
A T3 ending or rather, an Empire Strikes Back ending would be good, considering this is a story told in two halves.
I read a while back that IW2 isn't going to be a regular sequel, I'm intrigued.
They have the option to do so much, especially as Thanos worships death
My biggest fear is that deaths won't have permanence, like the comics...and that would pretty much destroy everything they have done. With Cap especially, having watched his two films recently they have heart and are good films, Cap's story is pretty sad. But since Chris Evans wants to do more directing and less acting, that may not be an issue.

Yeah, Bucky had a 9 film deal, and has done 3? I hope Valkrie doesn't become THor, thought she was awful. The 'power' of THor has been held by several people, so it could be anyone...All of the original Avengers actors' contracts expires with Avengers 4 while Bucky has 4 films left after Avengers 4. Yup, 4 films left as I said, 3 (all 3 Captain American films) before Infinity War's 2 films, so (3 + 2) - 9 = 4. It'll be a woman to replace Thor, of that I am 99.99999% certain. They lack a big name female hero in the MCU to take on Wonder Woman and/or virtue signalling if you are being cynical. Scarlet Witch and Black Widow are at least a tier below Thor/Iron Man/Captain America, and have struggled to get their own film (no real idea why I'm sure Johansson is more than a big enough name), Lady Thor would not struggle to get her own film.

I too thought Thor may die and be replaced by a woman a short while ago, since that is a comics thing, but on thinking on it, Beta Ray Bill passed into my mind, as wel as several others. And there was kickback against a female Thor too. MCU hasn't been making the strange 'virtue signalling' (for want of an easier phrase) that the comics have thus far, not that that could change, and with Wasp and Marvel on the way, a new THor would have to be female, not forgetting She-Hulk, quite possibly the perfect opposite for WW. I am not not even sure if we'll see Thor die. But who knows, I've just been reading on how Strange remakes Mjölnir.
Infinity War is making me excited for marvel again.
Here's an article from 2014 trying to guess a scenario on the 6/9 picture film deal thing. D:
