What's the worst film you ever saw at the cinema?
Discussion
A simple question I hope.
Over the years I have seen many bad films, and many great films. I probably saw a lot of films that I have forgotten I ever paid money to go and see, such was their forgetfulness. Some of the films I have seen were bad in my opinion but probably because I was there with my other half.
I've never walked out of the cinema - having paid my money, I want to get the value from it.
But one film I cannot ever forget for being the worst I ever saw
One Night At McCool's
Starred Michael Douglas and Liv Tyler (I think) - but I just can't forget how much I hated paying money to have seen that film, even though I was only about 16 when it came out. I don't remember what happened, all I know is, I never want to see that film again...

Easy: King Ralph starring John Goodman who somehow inherits the throne. More than that I've wiped from my mind.
Closely followed by The Boys In Blue (I challenge anyone here to recall having to see this one). Basically a Cannon and Ball vehicle, so incredibly forgettable that all I know is that I saw it in a double feature with Silver Dream Racer which was a masterpiece in comparison. So long ago...
Oh and The Phantom Menace. And The Matrix 3.
I may end up coming back and adding more...

A film called “It Couldn't Happen Here”. It’s the only time I've walked out of a cinema. I’d bought a season pass, so I was going to see all sorts of rubbish at the time, but that was impossible to sit through. Various TV and theatre luvvies, and the Pet Shop Boys, doing something or other in a rundown seaside town.
For a more mainstream example, the 90’s version of The Avengers (big screen remake of the Patrick Macnee TV series). Ralph Fiennes as Steed and Uma Thurman as Mrs Peel. Probably. I don’t remember much apart from desperately wanting it to end so that I could leave. The trouble with going to the movies with other people is you can’t just walk out because you’ve had enough.

Clash of the Titans 3d.
3d was still new and we liked the effect in the films we had seen at that point so went to see that. Apart from the film being terrible, it wasn't long before I realised I couldn't see a damn thing as the film hadn't been brightened to offset the sunglasses effect of the 3d glasses.
After half an hour I got fed up and took the glasses off and realized and I found the film was still watchable. Infact the only 3d used in the whole film was a tree in the foreground late on in the movie. A complete waste of money.

I tend to choose at least average films when I go to the cinema. The worst on was Transformers, probably part 2 or 3. I never walked out of the cinema, but that was very bad.
There are some films that other people rate very highly but I cannot stand them, they just annoy me so much. I watched them at home.
In To The Wild – what a spoiled child, made me so angry.
Birdman – art in the sake of art.
