The impromptu bit by Noel halfway through, where he was using wooden spoons to get a tune out of the cups hanging on the dresser had me in fits of giggles when he ed one of the cups and it broke. The snail finished me off.

Oh FFS - now Noel & Sandi are being taken to task in the press (and certain aggressive safety groups) for the fridge closure joke banghead Evidently C4 should have been forced to record a safety warning "don't do this at home" style message before & after the ad breaks to ensure nobody copies the scene on the show rolleyes

Some people and the press really must have nothing better to do this year frown

Does anyone still care what the papers think?

Hopefully not.

Probably more of an issue for those who remember all the fuss in the 70s with kids dying in abandoned fridges/freezers because they used to lock on the outside, trapping them in an air tight box .... (not so much of an issue these days I guess with magnetic strips holding doors shut).

Pretty much everyone I know who watches GBBO thought it was pretty dumb.

"Ask your local council to take it away"... that doesn't look like the council to me...

No way was that girl star baker! Liam was much more consistent.

Good that the stunt woman still in, she has a good set of erm personalities too

This has always been a talking point with bake off. They score the individual round rather than the session so if you do an amazing show stopper you still have a chance of being star baker even if you mess the rest up. They only look back at previous rounds to split people who are otherwise equal. They obviously thought her show stopper was good enough.

One of the boys going home tonight. I'd say James but it could easily be Liam.

Those mini pudding things would have looked more appealing if it didn’t look like they had liquid dog st in them.

Very dusty in the tent with Sandi saying who goes home. It was close between a few of them and I didn't know who was going to get booted this time. I was watching the Portuguese tart bit just thinking they were egg custards hehe

I couldn't understand why Sandi was being emotional, but then I thought we only see a few hours of TV when they've spent weeks together.
I thought tonight's programme was OK, pleased Liam is doing well and got star baker - smashing pie biggrin

I'm surprised at one or two of them saying they've never made rough puff pastry before. Surely if you knew you were going to be on the Bake Off you'd attempt making every sort of pastry in the book before going on the show as it's inevitable that the one you've never made will come up?

Isn't she Siberian?

I think Kate should go... seems to have scraped through by just doing enough each time.

Steven and Sophie would be deserved winners, Liam for his flavours (from what they say)

To be air to C4, the move has worked better than expected... although I still dislike Prue.
