No comments for 2 weeks...confused

It's Danish week.

Rahul....."Are Croissants Danish ?"....laugh

Apart from that ,he could win this series, last man standing.

Prue's wearing anal beads tonight.

PS Rahul is a seriously good baker, but he's struggling tonight. He seems to excel when he can adapt Asian flavours and techniques, but if it's something he's not experienced before, he panics.

Rahul has to get his ass in gear in the showstopper or last man down and out.

+1 - I think he's out unless he outclasses all the others, mediocre isn't going to save him.

I wasn't expecting the results for star baker or leaving this week.

That was a big surprise. Not Ruby, but Rahul. I can only think it was his previous weeks' work - he was last on all 3 tasks this week. I didn't think the show worked that way, but there you go.

Rahul should have gone this week. They must have taken previous weeks into account.

At least the things he made (badly) were on the point of the show and were Danish. Everything she made was French so she sort of missed the entire theme. That's the only reason I can think of.

I have gone off the idea of him winning though and want Kim Joy or Briony (sp?) to win now.

If the judges are basing decisions on previous weeks it makes a bit of a mockery of the competition.

I thought they could only base the who stays/goes on that week and the form over the whole contest was only taken into account when they reached the final.

The GBBO # on twitter is alive with folk saying its ste and a fix.

Many commenting that Paul's been noticeable arsey to Manon over last few weeks, maybe made advances and shes fobbed him off?

I know its a silly baking show but i've entered national figure painting competitions and if someone entered in work to the standard Rahul had tonight, he'd have been out with nerry a word of goodbye.

Manon being a bit french with the stuff okay maybe not right, but at least it was edible!

I wonder if producers are starting to play favourites for who makes better telly.

Also Paul being a massive ahole tonight to all, and made Kim Joy cry, which i hate when they linger on that, edit it out and give them a minute to compose themselves instead of continue to ask questions when someone is clearly trying not to become a sobbing embarrassed mess.

Gone right off the program after tonights episode. I hope Ruby or Kim Joy win

I think this was it, really. Thought Rahul was a bit of a whiny, self-pitying idiot this show, but even though he screwed everything up, he didn't try to twist the tasks into something he knew how to do.

I was a bit shocked at Rahul not going but can see why now. Bake Off themselves on Twitter have posted:

'Danish Week proved a test, especially for Manon. She kept on baking French and soon she was gone.'

Don't know whether it was because I wasn't concentrating but I always remember them having a bit of a chat at the end and discussing who's in danger and why, did that happen?
