Kind of agree on the critics, they are being overly harsh. But i think the nicest thing i can say about it was, it was better that Suicide Squad.
For a film that apparently had a budget of $300M plus re-shoots the CGI was decidedly wonky lets not even talk about superman's CGI top lip
The biggest issue it has is being release so close to THOR, technically a B list marvel film that wipes the floor with it.
Wonder Woman is still leaps and bounds by far the best DC film so far, this doesn't even get close.

I know they are critic proof in terms of making money, but even so, Wonder Woman aside you’ve got to assume that these would be even bigger money makers if they were anywhere near the standard of many of the MCU films.
Zak Snyder is simply no Kevin Fiege in terms of overseeing a universe, which is even more crucial given he has been directing some of them. It’s been pointed out that some of the standout moments in Justice League are very Wheadon in terms of shot composition and dialogue, seems harsh given the reason Snyder needed to step aside but otherwise I think he would’ve got even more of a hammering for this (its widely reported that the film was unwatchable prior to the reshoots).
I wasn’t a fan, by the way! Managed to avoid reviews beforehand but having looked through now most have hit the nail pretty squarely in my opinion.
Oh and dear lord, Superman’s moustache.

Really enjoyed it; was a little intrigued how Supes would fit it or how much he would be in it, was a welcome surprise (see, no spoilers there 
)
Sometimes I wonder how critics come up with their summaries; it's like they have seen a different movie.
Defo best DC movie so far and builds nicely for what is to come i.e. Aquaman/Flash.

Given I don’t know a single person so far who preferred this to Wonder Woman, I think you’ve just answered your own question! We’re all different, world would be a boring place otherwise.Defo best DC movie so far

Here’s the thing;
On Rotten Tomatoes the critics give it 40% from 232 reviews.
But from the general public it gets 86% from over 96,000 votes.
On IMDB its getting 7.6/10 from over 48,000 votes.
The critics are seriously out of tune with the cinema going public.
I would guess first weekend = hardcore DC audience, particularly those likely to then write a review. The B+ Cinema score slightly swings it back towards the critical concensus. Given 250 critics from all over vs. a historically extremely protective and competitive DC fan base (no different to Marvel) I don’t think it would take an academic to figure out where there is more likely to be bias, conscious or otherwise.
I’m not sure what those arguing with critics are actually asking for. Clearly, the 150+ critics aggregated on RT who didn’t write a positive review aren’t on the Disney payroll, to suggest so is a gross misunderstanding of how the industry works (presumably Disney we’re happy to let Wonder Woman go unfettered with by their paid off critics). Is anyone really suggesting, for example, that Mark Kermode took a few quid in return for a middling review? Of course he didn’t.
So are you then suggesting critics should write reviews on how they perceive the audience would react? I hope not, that’s a seriously slippy slope.

I’ve got no skin in the game. I’m not a DC fanboy, I actually prefer Marvel as they’ve consistently made better films. Man of Steel and Batman Vs Superman where average films IMO and Wonder Women was decentish.
I really liked this film though so am puzzled at what the critics saw that I didn’t? OK the villain was a bit one dimensional bit they all are in these types of films to a greater or lesser extent. I thought the tone was spot on compared to the previous DC films which have been way too sombre and it had some real quality YES moments. I’m no DC fanboi and I thought it was fine, better indeed than some of the Marvel films. What I’m suggesting is sometimes the critics get a tad snooty about films and even pre judge them expecting them to be poor and then fulfilling their own expectations. They can also play to their peers, not wanting to be seen as the guy that backed the film that tanked. I didn’t recognise Kermodes review as being the film I saw.“2 hours but felt like 4”.

Seriously Mark, what were you watching? The action was superbly staged, very exciting and it was pretty much constant. If I had a gripe it was that the CGI could have been sharper.
The big difference is they watch a film as part of their work with all of the pressures that entails whilst I go to watch it to be entertained.

It was poor, it was like a 90s TV film compared to even the worse of the Marvel films. Not even tacking a few Wheaden jokes on could save it and you can see why Marvel have moved on from him.
Wonder Woman was considerably better, it had story and heart to it. But still the same tedious CGI baddy.

I thought Wonder Woman was a mediocre film at best; not a great story, not great characters, not that great to look at.
Not that any of them have been great but I think their biggest problem with every one (except maybe Wonder Woman?) has been that there have been some good, interesting films they've tried to make and yet somehow - I assume interference from on high - they've ended up as a fragmented incoherent mess where you see snippets of what could have been.
BvS extended cut gave the game away to some extent (much better than the theatrical release, though could have been much better with more work) and Suicide Squad was a faint shadow of what might gave been.
Will have to get around to seeing this one but I suspect the reaction - again - will be disappointment at a wasted opportunity.
