Just because it's absolutely everywhere.
Its st, I hate it because its fking everywhere, you can't watch a film without hearing it. Do people think they are clever putting it in every film?

Wind noise. No, not like in Blazing Saddles! laugh
First remember hearing it on a documentary about Mount Everest as a kid, seldom heard in real life as I have on screen, seems to have a lot more "whoosh"..

Also the noise a lady makes like taking a Wellington boot out of mud - tho those films are maybe a bit less mainstream whistle

I love hearing thunder on films as I have very large and powerful subwoofers so it sounds great.

When they get engine noises correct in any film. It’s always odd when they play V8 noises over anything without a V8 or when someone is riding a Ducati that sounds like an in-line 4.

Helicopter & jet fighters in Apocalypse Now.
The low level jets called in to carry out an airstrike gave me the creeps - made me duck for cover!!
The dive bombers in Dunkirk were mega scary too.

A tiny one I've always liked. In The Business, when the 928's headlights go down in one scene, and they added a swoosh noise. Watch from 1.20

Already been mentioned but the seismic charges in Attack of the Clones, when played through a meaty amp / sub combo, will shake fillings from teeth.
