A new year brings a new season of BBC's Top Gear...

Teaser for the next season was released last week:

Have the viewing public forgotten about Chris Evans yet? Or even the last of the summer wine?

Seriously? Block? Again? So soon?

Clarkson at least waits a decade before recycling material.

Not including:
The Stig
Star in a Reasonably Priced Car
The Cool Wall
Budget car challenges
Car v Public Transport
...to name but a few. Granted, all tweaked to be different but no more so than Ken Block's efforts.

Is that the same location as that episode of The Grand Tour when they kept killing James May?

Both TG and GT have become like embarrassing dads at a wedding. It's all gotten a bit cringe.

It looks terrible.
It will be terrible.
Bring back William Woollard.
I will hate every episode.

But I’ll watch every one all the way through and whinge for page after page on here about it.

Will be interesting to see the viewing figures this season. Last season was a proper reboot so we should see if has the strength the survive/grow on its own.

Personally it's not something I watch, but that doesn't mean I want to see the franchise die.

Looks OK. Last series was so much better than the Evans one.

The first two studio recordings are on the 23 and 25 of this month. They have opened up registration for tickets today. https://lostintv.com/tv-show?id=933

Thank you for that, just got some biggrin Never seen a TV show being recorded before, let alone TG!

I’m guessing there is no huge waiting list like there used to be seeing as I only applied last night.

If they've done the recordings, is this back on Sunday evening this week, or next weekend?

Good News!

I actually prefer the post-Evans New, New Top Gear to GT, but luckily I can watch both.

Seems a bit of a smaller 'thing' than Old, New Top Gear though, only 1 series a year and no Xmas Special, that's a bit of a shame, there's only so much Celebrity Strictly Baking on Ice a Man can take.

Still 3 or 4 episodes of Dragons Den to go in the series in the normal Sun 8pm BBC 2 slot.

Looks like a February start?

I doubt it will start before GT finishes. 4 more episodes?

Desperate much? A few moments ago I applied for 2 more tickets for the filming on the 24th Feb and minutes later, got them.

I guess that's the last episode in the series – I might go again to top and tail the experience, and to see if Rory is allowed to say more than 10 words.

And "Wait three seconds to remember your witty, definitey-not-scripted-off-the-cuff remark to a bemused guest." which he fell foul of a couple of times in the last series, though that is something he would be able to work on
