Withnail & I tends to polarise opinions in my experience.
this for me. I have friends who rave about it, quote it, chuckle amongst similar fanboys whilst reminiscing, yet I think its a big pile of self indulgent, boring old poo.Never a middle ground it seems.
Vive la difference.
The Dark Knight.
Hated it on it's first viewing. Didn't think Ledgers Joker was at all menacing - and the plot was entirely predictable.
Gave it a second chance on a flight from UK to the US - and hated it even more.
I haven't watched it since.
Apocalypse Now is another - there's 2.5 hours of my life i'll never get back.

The English Patient.
Watched it because it won a billion Oscars. Didn't enjoy it (and I usually enjoy all sorts of different movies).
That in itself might not be newsworthy, but I am notorious for finding the best in everything I watch. Just couldn't find anything to like with this one.
