I find it very hard to believe that the founder of the Supra owner’s club paid £27.5k for that complete and utter abortion of a motor car.
It was the clubs car to start with. They still own it and are doing shows with it this year.

So selling the car was a load of old bks then. I see next week they’re in Albania. Any chance they might not return. Please

The Supra was never purchased by GWG, ir was a Supra owners club owned and donated car. The Supra was the modified and returned to the club. Thats what you can call TV. The body kit mod work was also sent out to a third party to undertake.

Several things were wrong. You couldn't hope to buy a good body condition perfectly running TT Supra for £8k today. Thats not been a price achievable even in the trade for a few years now. Also, you couldn't ever hope to just sick on a body kit, a vinyl wrap and bolt on a big spoiler and then more than treble the value of the original Supra. That just, is for the fairies.

The thing I struggle with on this show... its not a US 'drama where there is none' offering.. so that's a plus , but that means that it has to have some technical appeal to people who know what the game is, and not be based in cuckooland, which it clearly is. So who is the target audience. ??

I am still a big fan of Car SOS ,simply because at the reveal, nobody ever has a clue who the fk Tim Shaw is.

I just saw the Supra.

Aren't turbo fans a thing of the 70's? Either way, the whole car is an abomination.

Oh God, they've given Lamb Chop another series - "Engine Addict" - just why, he is totally devoid of personality.

I wish they'd stop calling him 'Extreme engineer-inventor Jimmy de Ville'. He's not extreme, not a qualified engineer, he has a degree in Industrial Design. Shows a complete lack of it in this show

Awful programme and the cars are utter horrors.

I'd watch it if they had the car taken from them and burned at the end of every episode.

It's a bit of fun for 45 minutes or so. Why take it so seriously?

Watching a load of made up, forced, badly scripted, obvious lies and bks is not really "fun" for me.

It's just a shame they couldn't use the resources available to them to make a decent TV show. Something that's entertaining but genuine. This is just dross.

It's a re run of his series from a few years ago , search it on here and you should find the thread .
To be fair to deville he's definitely not without mechanical and engineering talent , he was the expert on scrap heap challenge at least once , and he does a few bits of half decent stuff on engine addict , I'm not a fan of his over enthusiastic presenting style but I'll dare bet he's a lot more knowledgeable than most of his knockers on here . I have to say that goblin works is absolutely rubbish tv though .

He's done well to keep it hidden here. smile Even the bit he did on Fifth Gear was devoid of any actual expertise. Odd given his knowledge.

The whole faux deal at the end of each show is just pointless. It could have been a very different show had they left their egos and hipster ethos at home. Saying artizan repeatedly does not make you artizan.
