Just realised I've been watching for about 4-5 years now, think it's a fantastic show. They're brilliant mechanics and brilliants hosts too.

I've lost count of the number of times I've watched the episode where they first manage to pull a wheelie in Stubby Bob.

Love it.

One that sticks in my mind is where they drive 700 miles or something equally insane away to change the engine in (I think) a Ranchero in a parts shop car park and then it started snowing.

Also liked the "drag week" ones, more epic insanity.

"Best day at work, ever".
"Because, Roadkill"

The ultimate petrol head lifestyle in my opinion. I'd love to do what they do.

Yep it's fantastic, watched them all loads of times. The engine swap in the car park in the snow was a good one smile

One of my favourites is when they bought the lowrider, then just as it catches fire they can't open the boot to get to the batteries.

Favourite episode is the Dodge Charger with the motor home big block!

I've felt the last couple of episodes have slightly strayed into American reality TV car show type stuff, loads of different angles and cuts during any of the drag races, pushing certain phrases to make them catch phrases and the like!

Still love it though

Never miss an episode. Along with Dirt Everyday, Hot Rod Garage, Engine Masters, and some of the daily shows they all do.

Brilliant stuff. Crazy most of the time, but genius the rest. Certainly more enjoyable for me than Top Gear/Grand Tour.

The only fly in the ointment is that they now throw a lot of expensive new parts at their projects.
Still good quality entertainment. Just brings back memories of hunting down parts in Scrapyard's and working on my van in sub zero temperatures.

Watch it every month and love it, despite my not having even heard of 80% of the cars they buy / modify etc. A properly entertaining show.

Yep, big fan here of Roadkill, Dirt Every Day, and Hot Rod Garage.

I especially enjoyed when Mighty Car Mods went to America to challenge Roadkill, although their own programme hasn’t caught my interest as much.

Out of the 3 others, I think Hot Rod Garage is my fav. I love watching the shiney new parts being installed onto the recently-customised shells they prepare themselves. Such talent. These guys are as skilled as American Hotrod lot but without the fake arguing and fighting.

I was watching one of Lucky's instagram videos the other day and he mentioned how Stubby Bob has $15k engine and a $10k transmission in it. I kinda like the juxtaposition of it all, but it does go to show there is serious money behind the show.

If you like the idea of roadkill but on an honest budget, I recommend checking out Junk Yard Digs; they are huge RK fans who have started making their own videos. Their main one is resurrecting an old 60s ford truck from a farmyard where it had sat since 83 (IIRC) - very much like the PigPen episode of RK (which incidentally was the first ever video of RK I saw and what got me into them).

In terms of preference, you can't beat Mike and Dave (Mike has his own youtube channel too which is full of great stuff). Really like Steve and Lucky too; always fun to see Tony manhandle a 50lb weight across the workshop like it's nothing. Enjoy Dirt Every Day however their episodes are always pretty straight forward; buy something, add parts to it, drive around the wilderness.

Better get your credit cards out - no new episodes on YouTube, they're only for Motor Trend OnDemand.

I see they turned like/dislike and comments off, probably because they know what a stty thing it is they're doing.

Balls, I was wondering why there hadn't been any full Roadkill or DED episodes uploaded for a while. I may actually consider paying...

edit: Am I missing something obvious - why is the two year 'deal' $99.99 but one year is only $24.99? And where is the 'watch free with ads' option?

The biggest issue I have with that is oddly not the cost. I watched them on the TV through the YouTube app. I can’t do that with MT on Demand, which means watching on a tablet or computer. Which just seems like a backwards step.
