Can I also leave a request?

I'm trying to recall a film I saw on the horror channel. Didn't catch the start but the scene I first saw was a young couple and (what I think was) a farmer.

They were being tormented a bit and it got steadily worse. I think the couple were left for dead but the husband / boyfriend survived.

He then tracked down this farmer dude & his family some time later looking for revenge. Farmer had a dog that got killed too.

Possibly made in the last 5 - 10 years I would guess?

TIA.

It's a bit tough going in a brutal way. Definitely not a family film!

Was going to post this in the fight scenes thread but can not remember the name of the film. Occasionally watch the odd chinese/japanese martial arts film and watched one a while back where it was the biggest one man versus an army fight scene i have ever seen. It was a period style samurai type of film where one guy was going up against the local warlord and the main fight scene at the end he slices and dices his way through what seemed liked hundreds of guys to eventually fight the boss at the end. Sorry for the lack of detail but I'm sure somebody who watches this type of film will know what it is.

OK, So its American and has a scene with a bank shootout in a smallish town, the bank looks onto a square where there are a lot of cars parked. There is a lot of gunfire and I am sure it stars someone like Willis/Harrelson/Cage or some "ageing" actor as the Sherriff.

Hell Or High Water? Jeff Bridges was the Sheriff, there are a few bank robberies in the film.

That was a good suggestion AJ and so I re watched it at the weekend but sadly....no... The main part of the film centres around this shoot out outside the bank and one part I do remember is there are people sitting outside a café opposite. Grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

This one has been bothering me for months and no amount of googling will find me an answer, hopefully someone can put me out of my misery.

Pretty sure this film was from the late eighties, possibly a TV movie. It was about a young boy who was living with his mum (and brother?) in the US, family was poor and I think mum was a cleaner. The young boy's television breaks, once repaired it shows TV programs from 24hrs into the future. To help the family with money the boy watches horse races from the future, then knowing the result disguises himself as an adult Hasidic Jew so he can place bets in a betting shop.

I was convinced that the boy was played by Mathew Broderick, but can find nothing in his filmography.

Any ideas?

Googling it brought me to this film from 2014: "Time Lapse" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_Lapse_(film)

And with in the article it mentions "Time Lapse also has several elements in common with episode 46 of The Twilight Zone called "A Most Unusual Camera": there are 3 protagonists, two male and one female, they come in possession of a camera that can take pictures of 5 minutes into the future and they also happen to use it to win money from horse races."

Not the one I am looking for, but Time Lapse sounds pretty good in the vein of another indy time travel hit Primer.

This is one that's bugged me for many years and it dawned on me PH must have a thread for such requests... And it does!

So this was a VHS my parents had (this would have been early 90s), I was far too young to be able to remember what it was, but here goes:

It was I think some sort of 80s 'futuristic' setting
It was chiefly a love story between two main characters I think
The story seemed to chiefly revolve around.... What in my memory is a sort of futuristic van, it was a sort of trapezium shape in so far as front and back look very similar, I feel like it had the ability to roll metal shutters down over the windows, and I can't be sure but it may have even had some sort of laser firing, but that's very hazy...

Colouring it was I think chiefly red accented and largely silver / metal coloured otherwise...

Really all I can remember is the van, I've no idea about the film and I've always been baffled as to what it was! hehe
