Clarkson got it wrong about the theodolite …. can't remember what he said exactly but isn't it for measuring distance. That was one of the easiest questions but then I just happened to know it. Wasn't sure on the Wimbledon 2000 final question as I thought Venus was a couple years later than that.

I suspect you are now only allowed one phone a friend, friend. They used to say how many but if they have six contestants over five shows, and I guess they shoot over something like three days, that's a lot of people to send out to sit next to the friends to make sure they are not googling.

I would guess the "friends" are at the studio and when the contestant gets into the chair they will then be moved into seperate rooms with a chaperone.
