The previous trailer mentioned “hybridisation” and “upgrading on every planet they visit”. So you’re probably right.

For what it’s worth, I will join the chorus of “it’s gonna be crap”. At best, it might be a passable action romp if you’re a 20-something who thought the AVP films were acceptable entertaining.

In one of the books/comics, it’s suggested that the predators we’ve seen are all males, and they’re hunting aliens/humans to prove their worth to the female predators in order to mate. The female predators are supposed to be much larger than the males, and will often kill them after mating to retain the genes for their lineage.

Can’t remember which book/comic it was now, will have to dig it out.

Not read it in years (I'll have to dig it out for a re-read) but Steve Perry's book AvP 'Prey' alludes to sexual dimorphism amongst the Predators. Something along the lines that the females can causally throw a male across a room without even trying in the heat of the moment (so to speak).

So the lady Predators seem to be quite handy in a ruck. Probably why the chaps appear to spend an inordinate amount of time away from home.

I hink I've now edged into the territory of, it looks like st, whiffs of st..it's probably st. And will most ,likely make me quite angry if I watch it. So I'm gonna boycott it, and watch only if it gets good reviews here from some posters.
