first thoughts

it's too self aware/post-modern
too glib
too much cgi
dog update wkery
the lead is a scrawny lil fker
the dialogue seems like exposition 101

Grace's trailer reaction is more entertaining. biggrin

Have to admit that the trailers don't look promising, but I'm still holding out hope that Shane Black knows what he's doing

That looks utterly toss. I am part of a classic film club and the original was shown recently. Brilliant, brilliant film.

Yes. Watched Aliens recently too, also brilliant on the big screen. Star Wars A New Hope is soon too.

I watched Predator at the pics last year, the cinematic release had scene I'd never seen before, it was pretty amazing/exciting to see something new in a 30 year old film.
Near me The Thing is on this week, plus Ghostbusters and other classics to come

I find watching any of the classic films on the big screen exciting. Aliens for instance was new when I was too young to watch, so to see it in all its glory, pulse rifles over 7.1 was a treat.

The review from Den of Geek doesn't give much hope of a decent film

I think it's going to be ste, but then the original was ste. No, really it was complete cheesy ste, but it was really entertaining complete cheesy ste.

This could also be complete cheesy ste, or just ste. I guess we'll find out.

It's looking to be on par with the AvP franchise. Predators was more in keeping with the Predator world.

Looks like Shane Black is in a bit of hot water, he casted his friend (a registered sex offender) in the film without telling anyone, particularly Olivia Munn who the scene was with. She complained and he's been cut out now.
