Was that the kids show back in the 80s/90s where he had to learn how to use his super powers and kept fudging the take offs?

Wasn't his confident/side-kick the dude from Highway to Heaven?

You know how in life random coincidence occurs?

I'd recently been thinking of that show but no one remembered it or its name.

One to hunt down, loved it - thanks for random thread!

I've had enough of this bloody huge swing towards getting women doing men's rolls

Lesbianbusters was a disaster

Gives the producers a built in cop out though.

If it fails, it's because 'misogynist white men innit'............rather than the fact it was st.

I thought the Rock was tied to Shazam? Or was that a different film?

Apparently, Rock is tied to the main baddie of shazam, called, black adam, but dc is in disarray, and rock's star is fading so who knows if that film will get made

Too many white male reviewers was the reason Oceans 8 struggled. Obviously.

I’d be happy if my star was similarly fading.

James Bond will be the next female reboot. The idea has been floated and is gaining traction.

Sooner or later the industry will realise that women (in the main) find action films boring regardless of the gender of the protagonist.

I think you’ve gone a bit early with that prediction.

If anyone had suggested $1.5b for Jumanji and Rampage nine months ago every exec would have bitten their hand off for it.

If he's fading he's doing a cracking job on the way out. His overseas draw is huge, way, waaaaay more than his US impact these days in fact. Two 'original' (in the loosest sense) non-franchise movies were always going to be a bit of a risk this summer, but even Rampage still outperformed Solo globally, for example.

JUmanji did well, that too is history, he has two films out now, one is flopping, the other is pulling decent numbers, he is overstretched. He has J2 and a film that is very similar opening within a month next year, plus his agent may be a bit...much. This isn't stuff I'm pulling from thin air, just going off biz chat. He is waning, that may be a temporary thing, it's not anything to me, I don't know and don't care.
Solo was a mega-flop
this isn't exactly new stuff, actors careers wax and wane, and the space in between can be invisible sometimes, it's an ongoing process
