Afternoon,

Having owned (and currently own) VW's and Audi's, I invested in a legitimate diagnostic cable by Ross Tech, to use with their VCDS software. I'm wondering if a similar cable is available for my 2008 E90?

I have seen these, but does anyone have any experience with them?

Thoughts are welcome smile

Lol yep Ross Tech was a hefty outlay. I've seen INPA and NCS mentioned. What do they do?

Many things but you got to be careful this thing looks like it could terminate an ecu very quickly. I bought it as my elv was showing the red cog of death. After numerous people telling me I'd need a new steering coloum Including bmw. I found out I just needed my counters reset. Which this tool does. I've also done a few other small bits but because a few programs are in German you litterly look up what needs doing, follow the instructions and go from there

NCS and INPA, ISTA are great bits of software however NCS as the ability to brick modules in the wrong circumstances i.e laptop crashing running out of battery etc or just piss poor user input , not as easy to navigate as VAGCOM/VCDS but good all the same biggrin
