I was really pleased to have this back on and I like the performance hints section too. Hoping it does really well for them all.

My big annoyance though is the car head to head tests. Yes give me tests such as the slalom course, acceleration and braking, give me a head to head race around the track.

But the whole "which car can drift the best" thing is bks. Grow the fek up and stop doing this s**t.

Really like it.

I can always take there's some good and bad bits in any car program, different things suit different people.

But the comment re how good the scooby sounded had music over the top of it, that's poor editing.

Pleased its back and I really enjoyed it. I've always been a fan of the show and I prefer it to Top Gear/Grand Tour because its actually about the cars rather than the presenters.

TG/GT is good family entertainment granted, but Fifth Gear suits me more because of my interest in cars.

My exact first thoughts!!!!

My only slight annoyance like said above is the whole drifting a £70k car round, doesn't appeal at all when its supposed to be a road test, other than that all good, anything with cars in is watchable for me, even got a soft spot for Misfit garage

The format needs a refresh. If they didn't have the Alfa v. The Merc you'd have mistaken for watching the show from 15 years ago.

A Subaru tuning guide in 2018?

Why do presenters make such a big deal out of long foreign names ?

"That's the last time I say Quadrifoglio " says Plato.

In fact he said it at least two more times and it really isn't difficult to pronounce.

Enjoyed it anyway ,less fooling around compared to silly Top Gear.

The Ds7 was very disappointing in the flesh.

The bit about inter coolers was pants. Did he really say that black would make it more efficient? Honestly. And moving it isnt going to make 40bhp difference just because the ambient temp is 40c less at that point. He needs to tell us what the difference in the temps of the compressed air at the inter cooler outlet pipe is. My guess is 4 or 5 degrees less at most.
Black intercoolers have been mythbusted

Yes it's very dated isn't it

Can't see how that was a 2001 Impreza either. I had one of the last of the classic, registered in Jan 2000. Between that and the facelifted model on the show was the bug-eyed model. Surely that wasn't for only one year? Wikipedia suggests the facelift was 2004

For me the format and presenters work well. Ok, it follows the same style that it's done for a while but I'm comfortable with that. Much prefer it to the ex Top Gear 3 amigos who seem to be trying too hard to entertain rather than just driving the cars.

I guess he needed a rest before chalking this one up to experience. Cue more jokes, before I take a break

The Conti GT's WR12 sounds more like a V(R)6 than a 12-cylinder engine.

Pretty good again this week (ignoring the Wheeler Dealer modification bit).

Thought the Kia / Hyundai testing facility was quite good and that Stinger looked really nice in blue.

I thought it was dull. I couldn't last until the end.

Interesting TV show.
I liked the Kia but found the Bentley beyond vulgar - even the Porsche its based on looks nicer.
