The format needs a refresh. If they didn't have the Alfa v. The Merc you'd have mistaken for watching the show from 15 years ago.

A Subaru tuning guide in 2018?
Yes it's very dated isn't it
Agree, same tired format. First and last time watching.

Pretty good again this week (ignoring the Wheeler Dealer modification bit).

Thought the Kia / Hyundai testing facility was quite good and that Stinger looked really nice in blue.
Yeah. Interesting about the testing facility.

That Stinger is a beautiful looking car.

I cannot bring myself to watch it knowing that the guy from Goblin Works is on it.

Episode 1; circuit test of Alfa Romeo.
Episode 2; circuit test of Alfa Romeo.

Is this some subtle product placement going on here?

I'm quite liking it though (except episode 1s drifting, again)

I enjoyed it again but its always been right up my street. I agree with those who say its a dated format, but there's still a lot to like for me.

Yes, I’m not sure he brings anything and seems to be covering stuff Brewer did with Edd 10 years ago. Rest of the show is enjoyable. Not sure why they felt the need to have a random petrolhead celeb involved with the reviews and then review the most un petrolhead car ever laugh.

It just got worse, a beetle tuning guide.

Next week, how to get more power out of a Model T ?

I'm quite enjoying it. Not quite the fizz of the best years of Topgear but all in all, well worth an hour of my time.
I'll definitely be watching the rest of the series.

I agree they may want to shake the format up a little. Maybe some longer road tests or some trips abroad rather than the grey likes of Anglesea and Rockingham (which will be gone next year)

I've always had the impression that Fifth Gear is made on a rather modest budget - perhaps unfair to call it a shoestring, but probably not far off being that!

I’ve really enjoyed the first two episodes. Very easy viewing.

Best car programme on TV.

Caught it last night. Maybe they should call it "Track Gear"

Look, I know it's a long way to the US but the Kia piece boring boring its way through the whole programme is a real turn off.
Keep it short and snappy, it's not a Top Gear Challenge, it's monotonous and very dull and after every set of ads, it's "Oh god, not this again". Very, very dull and getting a car interior down from 60 odd to 30-odd in 10 miles proves the square root of diddly squat and is of no actual interest to anyone north of Southampton.

Vicky in a Bentley. No and no. A barge going round a tiny track like Llandow. Whatever she was saying, she is hard to listen to.

The 3 Stooges and a token Z-list celeb in a Nissan Leaf - predictably they all found it boring. Again, driving it round a track where it has no actual relevance because this "best case range scenario" was totally irrelevant to absolutely everybody.

The Stelvio vs the Jag F-Pace - honestly, who gives a f*** about putting an SUV around a track?
You want to know which is easiest to get into, see out of, pack with stuff from B&Q and has the best ride...don't you?

For stuff like that you're better off looking at Carwow on Youtube, Mat Watsons reviews are good.

I see VBH is rumoured to be going back to Top Gear. Christ, I'd rather watch Chris Evans.

I reallly hope not. I'd rather see Tiff or Nic Cackett. Or Tom Ford.
