It is ridiculous. Maybe he thought he would get a different audience that wouldn't notice?

It's a bit like people who keep stating new profiles on here and hope people won't notice.

R11CO disappears and instantly Aquilea appears posting the exact same stuff. Aquilea was outed as R11CO and stopped posting.

Then Evercross singed up and starting saying the exact same things as R11CO and Aquilea. I've a feeling someone else active in this thread is also you.

I'm sure Evans radio show wasn't as repetitive as you this morning.

Really ironic post given your chopping and changing of profiles.

Stuff?
I've got an issue with Virgin Radio DAB reception and happen to be one of hundreds who have noticed Chris Evans and Charlene Spiteri seem to be joined at the hip.

Whatever your beef with this R11CO person is I suggest you take it up with him. You seem to spend a lot of time following him around though so he has my sympathy.

Can I ask what the hell you are on about? A quick search tells me that this R!!CO person might have an issue with Chris Evans and has a couple of people who follow him around like the 'big fat phoney guy' in Family Guy having an obsesion about calling him out.

I've got an issue with DAB reception and happen to be one of hundreds who have noticed Chris Evans and Charlene Spiteri seem to be joined at the hip.

What's the connection?
Yeah R11CO has issues with DAB in the same region too. He posts in all the same threads, has the same opinions and comes across exactly the same way.

I can't say I've ever noticed people following R11CO around, but he does stand out like a sore thumb. His last profile didn't last long.

You're too obvious.

I listened and thought it was ok. Bit too much self-promotion but that's to be expected as it was the first show and the whole idea is to build the audience for Virgin Radio. Incidentally the DAB reception in the Berkshire/Hampshire borders is fine.

I think you need to get over yourself. R11CO certainly isn't the only person that thinks R
Evans is an overrated wker

Get over myself?

R11CO and his profiles are obsessed with Evans. It is beyond weird.

He studies in great detail every step the guy makes and has derailed countless threads reverting back about him when there is no need.

It's amusing he's using multiple profiles to express his opinions. The two of you seem on the same wavelength.

You do realise how tenuous a link that is?! Jambo85 is having the same issues and he lives in Scotland too. Does that mean he's R11CO as well?

You're weird.

I can't say he stands out.

You just keep posting all the same stuff as R11CO and in the exact same fashion. The profiles are all staring off immediately after each other and probably one a few months ago.

The fact you're having DAB issues in the same region is less obvious than your style of posting.

You seem to know more about it than I do, so I'll bow to your superior knowledge.

I'm kind of annoyed though that you've derailed the thread. I'm neither here-nor-there about Evans (beyond the joke that is Charlene Spiteri) but I was going to follow up the discussion by saying that hopefully demand for Evans on Virgin Radio will lead to much-needed investment in DAB to bring it up to standard - it deserves better than low bit-rate mono.

BBC reception is infinitely better because they use the bandwidth for proper stereo and error correction rather than cramming in more stations. I can't say if I like the new Vrgin show if I can't listen to it.

I thought 4G had basically killed DAB?

Indirectly it kind of has, but it isn't a direct replacement and there's plenty of the UK that has patchy or zero 4G coverage that broadcast radio still reaches easily. 4G is useless for 'radio' once you stray out of the metropolis or off the motorway corridors.

DAB reception and quality is going backwards though because they are adding stations but not increasing bandwidth - a switch to DAB+ would be a massive help. If DAB was done properly in the UK then they could switch off FM and make a killing selling the frequencies off.

It's a debate for another thread though but as I said I'm hoping that the high profile hoohah surrounding Evans' move to Virgin will bring the audiences (and some criticism of the availability) and therefor the investment.

I listened - thought it was fine.
It's just a radio show - there are others available I think. If you're an angry 13 year old teenager (or someone who acts like one) who calls radio presenters 'wkers' on a forum, then maybe Virgin radio isn't for you?

Dropped in on this thread to see if the show is any good. Just read a whole page and I still have no idea (except Spiteri is on again, in a surprise to absolutely nobody).

What's the thing about Charlene Spiteri and the Chris Evans show?

Just that they are very close friends, and despite the fact that Texas as a band haven't had a hit single since 2006, Spiteri pops up extremely regularly on Chris Evans brand radio - and Top Gear

Evans is irrelevant to me. Have been listening to Today on Rafio 4 for years.

So have I, but the wall-to-wall Brexit coverage is really starting to do my fruit. As are the trailers for the "Beyond Today" podcast.
