This is off topic, as it doesn't make me want to go so far as smashing my Tv set up, but it still annoys me: Sainsbury's, for lazily rehashing the John Lewis advert from earlier this year.
Or the current Christmas ad. Simply terrible.

Yes, that is the ad I mean.
Agree; it’s truly nauseating.

Lloyds Bank promoting mental healthcare - are they offering free sessions with a shrink if you open a bank account with them????
Whilst it's admirable that mental health is promoted it is a bit bks, isn't it?

I can imagine that if one of their employees approaches their boss saying they have a mental condition that requires extensive time off and needs changes made to their work patterns and load, they'll be managed out of the business in short order.

It reminds me of the old Melanie Sykes / Boddingtons ad which was again a b&w spoof of another ad where she says something to a male model along the lines of "Eee Tarquin have you got your strides around the right way"

I wonder if they are trying to give us a subliminal message of "you need your head examined if you open an account with us". scratchchin

Clever. Goes to show that for a relatively small budget you can make an ad that gets attention with light humour and don’t have to spend megabucks like John Lewis and Sainsbury with pretentious artists or brats.

Yep, very, deserves a blunt instrument round the chops. Most of the betting ads are just annoying ste tho. Either in a trying to make it fun for the proles or apparently clever and sauve / Bondesque. , like the chap in a DJ playing with the chips. Yeah I think you stole that DJ mate and live in a caravan in a car park.

I'm going to put the new Debenhams" do a bit of " in the frame.
I actually don't get the ones I have seen

But on a positive note the Amazon Echo girl growing up and off to Uni is very good.
The song used is great and it has the tugging the heart strings element that works and isn't on such a grand scale as the Elton John/ John Lewis one.

Personally I think the John Lewis and the Kevin the Carrot Aldi ones to be the biggest disappointments of the Xmas themed ones
The Tesco one is irritating but much less so than previous years
