Cant believe this twaddle is still running!

Someone I went to school with was on it years ago, her bio was full of st and every time she opened her mouth she just revealed what a vacuous moron she is. Painful and hilarious in equal measure!

Good intro biggrin

Excellent, something I can tune into every week and throw beer cans at.

Love this show.

Personally, I always take a highly scientific approach to selecting the candidate that get my personal seal of approval. It's a method that takes into account what I feel is the best use of that particular person's abilities.

In other words, I always support the fittest bird because, let's face it, you wouldn't want to let any of them anywhere near a business you cared anything about.
So true. A couple of people in ‘the room of doom’ with me, were just hilarious. One guy was a white rapper, who’s business idea was building an ‘empire’ of clothing brands etc, based on his act, which was essentially a white boy talking like a black boy. Then there was the ‘mockney geezer’ who “wasn’t there to make friends, I’ve got enough of those already yeah”. Or my personal favourite pitch “Hi, I Ting Tong, I from Phillipines, I just wan meet Lord Sugar, I don’t have no business yeah, just wan be on T.V. meet Lord Sugar yeah”. Her name wasn’t Ting Tong, but I couldn’t pronounce what it was. Oddly she did get through to the second stage, and had big tits. Go figure.

This show has good comic value - I imagine it to be much the same as folks paying one penny for a stick with which they can poke the inmates at the local asylum in days gone by.

I got an interview back in March, to be on this show this year. That was an eye opener. A fun process, but sod all to do with anything but an entertainment show I think. None of the people I was with in my interview made it to the show.
Why did you want to apply? smile

It’s not brain surgery, and if you kick up enough of a stink, you may just make some easy money. They told me, and the 4 others that didn’t get to the ‘show stage’ to try again next year, I might just do that, it’s a laugh.

So, just to clear things up, do you like the programme or not?

The first show this year tells you all you need to know about how bright the ‘Candidates’ are. They’re sent to Malta, a Mecca for diving, (there’s a clue here already) and are asked to get ( amongst other things ) an Octopus, with an 8 ft hose, and they go to a fishmonger laugh.
I love this show, proper cringeworthy, car crash T.V. with added tits ( metaphorical and otherwise).

Almost as detestable as trolls who open a thread they don't like just to insult all the people posting on it.

You are perfectly entitled to your opinion and I am not going to argue over your views.

However, I have detested the whole premise of this programme from day one and my loathing of it was only reinforced when I spoke to someone who has inside knowledge of how it is put together.

The fact that the abominable excrescence that is currently President of the US emerged out of the American version of this pile of TV poo does not surprise me one jot.

The worrying part is that the X Factor/Strictly brigade will watch this and think these people actually are business types......

They've got to pick another TV programme until Top Gear starts again.
