Incidentally, I've just watched series 1 of FTWD. fk me. Is it this st all the way through? After six episodes, I have no idea who anybody is, and I really don't care. Surely the audience is supposed to identify with or root for at least one character?
It doesn't get any better I'm afraid and the characters just become more irritating. Was great to see some actual footage and feel of what a post apocalyptic city could look like, TWD seemed to live in a vacuum where computer games do not exist..... opening 15 mins was pure computer game stuff, loved it however silly with the glass floor etc etc....
But.........
They got to DC on horse back and towed back the trailer etc before sun down so not far from Hill Top......... so why in Gods name have we watched Rick battle Negan over a factory and some Mansion.......
look it is a nice mansion, but by Christ we now know that 1 hour or so away by a leisurely stroll on horse back is the bloody WHITE HOUSE FFS!!!!
Why were they fighting over patches of barren land when surely the rich pickings to be had are in DC??!!!
Why?

Yes, it’s really highlighted that all the previous seasons have been pretty pointless, I’m sure there are many walkers to deal with in the city but it can’t be that hard to make a safe part and expand it out across a high rise or similar.
The hospital a few seasons back was a good one, that would be the ideal to get somewhere like that rather than tit for tat fighting over a scrapyard, a crappy old mansion and a factory!

Spoiler Alert... Sorry dont know the proper tag code...
So we have Rick bedding with the Ninja dreads lady, of whose name has somehow escaped me. We have Carol getting freaky with King Ezekiel and now we have the priest, erm, the Escopilian priest about to get it on with miss Polly bird. It is easy to assess that the writing team for TWD are all liberals LOL
If they had any smarts they would terminate Negan now while they have him held in a cell.

Nicht spoilers until after the episode has aired on UK tv please
Episode one has aired on UK TV. I was looking at Twitter for most of the episode.
Happily Gregory got hanged. I thought that was going to turn into a serious thorn in the series, but they solved it quickly for once.
I’m not much looking forward to all the politics and soap opera that’s been teased. Saviours should be cut loose from the other settlements and bet they do whilst becoming resentful towards Rick and Maggie.
I am sure by now many have noticed what a biatch Maggie has become. Her character has completely changed. My mother asked me why and I told her I believe it ia because Rick let Negan live and she is rightfully sore over the decision being that Negan beat Glen quite literally into a bloody pulp.
SPOILER AHEAD...
I am very interested to find out what the deal is with the helicopter at the end.

I predict they'll continue to pop up from time to time with little or no dialogue or explanation.I think the main threat/point of interest for this season has been sign posted with the wandering saviors not making it back to their camp as mentioned to Thick Rick and shown at the end of the episode.
